you could prob sneak an inverter in but it wouldnt be worth losing it if they found it.

You don't need to "sneak" inverters in. I wouldn't risk sneaking in a generator though ... that's a pricey piece of equipment to lose.

Not sure how quiet the "quiet hondas" are but I wouldn't be very happy if my neighbors were running a generator all day. Plus the exhaust fumes..

Please don't. Figure out a better way to power stuff-there are plenty on this board if you search.

Deep cycle marine battery plus inverter.

Get more than one if you need more power.

    Problem solved.

I was referring to power inverters that are powered by gas and give you lots more power. Kinda like the small Honda he is referring to above.

Theres no power inverter that runs on gas. Power inverters take one kind of power and turn them into another. Like DC/AC- Please don't bring generators. I don't need one of you idiots dropping a cigarette into a gas can.

Damn Max, you just got told. This guy is like the Hank Hill of generators and generator accessories and he's clearly not one to suffer fools.

This is what I normally sell, and I def don't suffer when the power is out since I have a whole house backup generator. I just dont like people who are quick to comment on stuff they aren't sure of.

    Carry on!

You guys are idiots. Power inverters do not GENERATE power, they INVERT it. Hence, this http://www.northerntool.com/shop/too...FcZZ7AodQgsAsg is a generator, with an inverter built in.

I work in the lighting industry, we use generators all the time. I know more about them than most.

I don't fucking care what you call it, don't bring gas to coachella please.

I've brought several gallons of gasoline every single year I've camped at Coachella and this year will be no different.

Also, jck83-do me a favor and read the reviews. Every third person calls that fucking thing a generator, fuckface.

It is a generator, never said it wasnt. Its an inverter as well.

First of all, you spelled inverter wrong, second of all you're an asshat, and third of all you DID call it an inverter- WHICH IS NOT A GENERATOR. These are two different things big guy-one creates power and one inverts it. Let me know if you need an explanation on AC vs. DC power as well. Shitcream.

If you cant look at the name Generac Power Inverter and see its a power inverter you're a douche. Enjoy thinking you are a Master Electrician cause you know the difference between ac and dc power.

You'll notice right under the picture of the product that it says

    "What's Included

    (1) Generator, Model# 5793"

    Shut the fuck up.

Then you'll notice in the coachella FAQ it says

"Are generators allowed into the onsite camping?
    No"

    No generators, pee pee face.

But it's a generator more than it's an inverter. Either way- don't bring gas to coachella, Bobert.

Inverter technology takes the raw power produced by the generator and passes it through an electronic microprocessor to provide clean, stable power that's safe for computers and other electronic devices.

There is a generator attached to the system but this inverter processes the power. Its a power inverter whether you like it or not

There is an inverter attached to the generator. Not the other way around. There wouldn't be anything to invert without the generator.

I agree the generator makes the power, but that system is a power inverter with a generator attached.

You're a fucking idiot. This is irrelevant. This thread is about something you're not allowed to do at coachella so I'll say it again

    DON'T BRING GENERATORS TO COACHELLA

EVEN IF THEY HAVE INVERTERS ATTACHED, IT'S STILL A GENERATOR

Maybe you can come help me set up the lights at my campsite. As a layman I've always managed to do this by myself but it would be great to have a lighting professional on hand to ensure maximum illumination.
