Throwing around "pussy" in a Chipotle thread...that's impressive.

It has nothing to do with what contents are asked for (anybody should be able to handle that)...it's about the proportions, how they wrap it, etc.

Last time I went to Chipotle guy couldn't even wrap burrito up, after several failed attempts he had to call for a new tortilla and for someone else to finish the job.

Chipotle started in Denver, Colorado in 1993. I lived four blocks from the very first one.

And what is so hard about asking for certain proportions? You want more or less of something the guy is right in front of you with the damn spoon in his hand.

Chipotle is only good to me when I'm hungover and need to eat something thats going to absorb all the alcohol in my system.
Other than that, its just too much.

I've always just have had them melt the cheese in the tortilla while the put it in the presser thing. I always that was something people knew they did but next thing I know qusearito is being treated like it's the holy grail or something like that. My way is a bit different butt taste just as good I would imagine but I've technically never had a real quesarito.

I have actually never eaten Chipotle. I'm not really a fan of burritos in general, and even though i know the have more food than that, I'm happy just getting my baja tacos and quesadillas on at Paquito Mas or Sharky's when I require Mexican food for white people.

Hah, love this place. Frequented all the locations in the IE, during college, but the one on Magnolia and Arlington was always the best (even though it got hit with a "C" sticker for a few days), lol.

One time I was eating an "authentic Mexican food" burrito, and a big glop of beans fell on my scrubs, and it left this big grease mark on them for like, 3 washings. That's gross. I don't go to Chipotle when I am buzzed and need some dirty authentic Mexican food. I go to Chipotle when I want a better choice in plain old fast(er) food. It has nothing to do with it's attempt to be Mexican. It has to do with it's attempt to be a good healthy-er choice when I want to meet someone up for a quick bite to eat.

Poquito Mas is probably the best gringo mex around LA. There's so many good mexican restaurants here though that if i'm spending $10+, like I usually would at Poquito Mas, I'd rather just hit up a restaurant. I'd list them all but nobody cares… lol.

I wholeheartedly disagree. I lived mere blocks from El Taurino for years and would much more frequently take the short jaunt to King Taco because they made better lengua, better asada, better salsas and better aguas frescas. And there's just something about a grainy King Taco burrito tortilla.

El Taurino's sopes hold a special place in my heart. The usual taco's (asada, chicken) are comparable, not a lengua fan but I love Taurino's pastor. Never had a burrito from either place. I stick to taco's usually, sopes from Taurino, tortas occasionally.

Comparing Chipotle to a chain Mexican fast food restaurant like Filibertos (Los Betos, Adalbertos's, Nico's, etc. in other areas) is stupid. They aren't the same type of food. When I am in the mood for Mexican food, I don't go to Chipotle. I go to a Mexican restaurant. I go to Chipotle because I want Chipotle.

Yep, and I like both. If I want greasy, more "authentic" Mexican food, I try one of those places. If I want something that's more healthy and fresh, but still filling and good, I go to Chipotle.
