    We always called it hide-and-seek.

I asked Izzy and she added the go. It's been lab tested.

According to the Oxford English Dictionary, "hide-and-seek" is generally more accepted, especially in British English, and dates back to prior to 1672, but "hide-an-go-seek" is an alternate form used chiefly in the US.

When's the last time you played hide and seek?

When's the last time you felt truly happy?

Look and see. There's likely a correlation.

I go skipping regularly--it is way more fun than hide and seek.

some ad i heard on the radio (sports talk) keeps referring to "hide and go seek". and my reaction was, wait, that's like a four year old trying to say "hide and seek". then i thought, hmmm, i wonder if real people actually say "hide and go seek". Having no real people at hand, I posted here instead.

My understanding is that the word "seek" insinuates the "go" part, so the use of it in the title of the game is a redundancy.

As an adult, I say hide-and-seek, but then I had to think long and hard about my childhood, and I'm fairly certain that my friends and I often said hide-and-go-seek, too. So the answer is both.

Hide and seek, it looks lame when you add "go" before "seek" but not before "hide". Consistency. Either leave it off both words or put it on both words, and "go hide and go seek" sounds ridiculous, so just leave it off.

They are both active verbs, so I'm not sure what consistency has to do with it.
