Thread: Lockers

  1. #1

    Default Lockers

Weekend 2, will be my first time to Coachella, driving from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada!

I was just wondering what people's thought are on lockers? We have a camping site with our car. Wondering if they are useful? What size do you recommend? Any feedback would be great!

Never used them. They could be helpful, but u should be able to easily carry all that you'll need in ur fanny pack, bro.

We are always within the first 8 rows in lot 8 for car camping.
Even being that close, its a pain going in & out of the festival gates multiple times.
A locker is WELL worth it.
Also works as a great meet up spot for when you get separated from other members of your group.

But get a locker now, as they have & WILL SELL OUT.

We found the lockers well worth the money. It meant we could keep a bunch of backups with us. Clothes in case of weather changes. Back up phones, back up ID, back up credit cards, cash, etc.
So if you are a bit of a boy scout at heart its a great benefit.

if you don't get one now

    YOU ARE STUPID

    they will sell out

They are awesome! The lockers are huge, they have a changing station there, the people are A1 awesome....etc
That way you can bring warm clothes for night and stuff them in there and not have to go back to camp site or car to change. I leave stuff in locker for the next day so I don't have to carry it back home that night and it's avail the next day.

if you are going to share a locker with someone whom you are going to split off from...get the locker that has the digital lock.

I buy my locker as soon as they come avail.

I'll bet you $10,000 that you will see people going up to the locker guys saying, 'I'd like to get a locker' only to be told 'lockers are sold out' and they look so bummed out.

Proper planning prevents piss poor performance

If this is your first or second time going to the fest....look at the top of the questions page and there is an entire guide of things to do to be ready for the fest. Read it

    Big Bump.

Just got mine; almost forgot about this move.

I may even use the changing area this year.

Are the lockers inside the fest (as in, past the wristband scan and security patdown)? I'm not sure what I would use this for since our campsite will be so close to the entrance.. what kind of stuff do you keep in there? Just sweatshirts and stuff?

Yes, they are located just inside the fest. Very convenient for holding a change of clothes and shoes, merch purchases (especially posters & vinyl), things you don't want to bring through security multiple times, etc...

This year they also have locked charging stations for your electronics, which could come in pretty handy. http://www.lockersonline.com/u06.htm

Anything we can sneak in, we normally stash in the locker to have access to it throughout the Fest without having to get it through security multiple times. And it's convenient for putting stuff in it when you don't wanna carry it/hold it during a set.

Also, DO NOT store vinyl in your locker.
There's a possibility it can melt.
    Just a heads up

as long as you're smart about it it's a non issue. the past two years i've bought vinyl as soon as i got in and left it in the locker all day wrapped in a shirt or something, no issues whatsoever.

Last year when I had mine signed, I didn't wanna risk it.
They do offer vinyl storage for the weekend for like $10 or something affordable.
So I took advantage of that.

    Hey guys,

You know how you get $20 back when you return the key (so the small lockers are actually only $33) - do you get $20 back with the extra large lockers too? Is the net price $57 or $77?

    Yes.
    From their website:
A $20.00 Refundable Lock Deposit is collected when you reserve the Extra-Large Keyless Combination Locker on-line.
Here’s how it the Deposit works: PayPal charges you for the Extra-Large Keyless Combination Locker. You bring the PayPal Receipt to Locker Check-in. You receive a Pad Lock and keep it for 3 days. When you return the Lock to us you immediately receive $20 cash back. You’ll leave the Festival with $20 in your pocket – gas money for the drive home
