A friend of ours did that last year. One hour drive to the fest and back daily. It's doable if you dont have a campground or hotel to stay at. Not really ideal and might be a pain but its doable. Day parking is free with your pass. just dont leave your car overnight and you'll be fine

You park and walk to the festival. Not much more to it than that. Traffic isn't bad at all because there are a lot of campers and people who use the shuttles

As someone who had only camped I was extremely nervous about day parking last year but it turned out to be an absolute breeze. Lines going in are minimal if you get there before 3pm and leaving was as easy if not easier than your average sporting event/concert. And make sure you do Carpoolchella, $5 pack of window markers and 15 minutes could win you free lifetime passes, VIP upgrade, VIP Parking etc.

Two years ago I went with an awesome group of people and we stayed at a condo about 15 minutes from the festival. We did the drive there and back everyday. The drive getting into the festival wasn't too bad, took us about an hour to get in and then a 15 or so minute walk. The drive back to the condo every night, however, was crappy.. Took us 45 minutes to walk back to the car due to the high volume of people, and then an hour and a half to get out before our 15 minute drive home.. It's best if you leave like 10-15 mins before the end of the final act each day.

I am tent camping this year to avoid all of this. After all, I have motion sickness

    An hour, ouch.
    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

Prepare for a long, dusty walk. In past years, I have seen lots which were so full of loose dirt that many cars ended up getting stuck and had to be pulled out by tow truck. I don't know if those lots have had anything done to prevent cars getting stuck, but it can sometimes be a real mess. Also, I would recommend downloading a Car Finder app for your phone. After a long day, even without any mind altering, cars sometimes have a tendency to "move around".
