    Default Aftermarket seems cooler than last year

    For all the grousing about last year's lineup (stone roses, oh, the horror), the aftermarket prices for tix right after the show sold out was solidly between $550-600/ticket.

    This year with the MOR super popular artist lineup (Pharell, Outkast, Nas, A$AP, Kid Cudi, Lorde, LDR, Calvin Harris, etc...) weekend one tix going $475-525. There also doesn't seem to be as much of a gap between the weekends as in years past.

    I would have expected an even more overheated market with all the popular artists, esp since it seemed like it sold out at retail faster than last year.

    It's obviously better for people shut out by the ticket sale and needing to buy on aftermarket, but I'm honestly surprised prices aren't higher. There must be a massive float of tix out there.

    Last year I got a wristband for weekend 2 for 50 dollars less than face on stubhub, 2 weeks before the fest. Peoples plans fall through. Just wait a little bit.

    Yeah, the prices will drop significantly as the festival draws closer.

    Would you all consider Ebay a safe place to purchase a resale ticket? or stick to stubhub?

    Either will create a paper trail. I like ebay because you can look at user ratings etc.

    With the Outkast announcement, and lack of "rare" acts I see prices dropping like last year. If you play it smart and look around you should be able to find wristbands for 200-300 dollars. Give it some time.

    Don't panic and wait until end of March/early April to get your passes. That's my plan for acquiring a camping pass (or 2) for my group. I've never had trouble helping last-minute friends find passes for a little above/around face in that time period.

    ebay = NOT SAFE

    only 45 days from sale to dispute problems....and the fest is far beyond that.

    The ONLY acceptable place is stub hub
