So is Interpol pretty much a lock for one of the headlining spots?

Touche Amore played last year right before their latest album came out, and before that, they played two years previous to that. They fit the FYF lineup, but three appearances in the past four years seems a bit exhaustive. There's a ton of great young post-hardcore bands to fill that void.
Oh yea I forgot they played in Brooklyn last summer! I wouldn't count on Lifetime but A Paint It Black might be a possibility. What are some young post-hardcore band you listen to?

I'd say they're a lock for the festival but not sure about headlining.

If we are calling La Dispute a young post-hardcore band then I will add Trophy Scars to that list.

Bumbershoot lineup comes out in about 30 min. It's the weekend after FYF, so might give us an idea of who else will be on the West Coast.

EDIT: Lineup comes out sometime tonight.

Slowly trickling it seems. We'll probably know within the next couple hours I'm guessing. I'm assuming they wouldn't release the headliners early, so it'll be interesting to see who they are.

What's Big Star's Third? That sounds nice. I want that.

Also, would want to see Mission of Burma, Dream Syndicate, Bootsy Collins, and Architecture in Helsinki. And I can't say no to La Luz, ever.

I'll check out Frameworks, Self Defense Family and Superheaven. I would consider Greys, post-hardcore band but la Dispute and Balance and Composure are in that category as well?

To me, post-hardcore is one of those very broad genres that isn't just hard breakdowns. I don't know what else anyone would describe them as. They're too heavy to be emo if that's what you're getting at.

What is being called post hardcore now is definitely different from what it was. When I say the term I think of Fugazi, Jawbox, Hot Water Music, Get Up Kids, etc. There seems to be a bunch of bands that I would have described as screamo or just melodic hardcore taking the title now. Which is fine I guess, because a decade makes a big difference is who is describing what.

What Drinkey said ^. Balance and Composure opened up for Glassjaw last year and I don't remember them being "post-hardcore" at all which is why I asked! I thought they were very generic emo/indie rock band but most of their fans were loving set....
