Hopefully the do something special since they haven't played their hometown festival since 2003. My favorite band is a welcome addition to any lineup

In No particular order I would start with

    A Song For The Dead
Lost Art Of Keeping A Secret
Little Sister (this isn't a favorite song of mine but it has gotten some radio play in the past and an easily accessible song)
No One Knows (again not a personal favorite but arguably their most well known song)
    3's & 7's

By the way, I have to bring up that Fig Knewton guy who posted on Monklish's blog about 3 months ago and called OutKast / Arcade Fire / Muse as headliners when it still seemed pretty outlandish. He also called that QOTSA would sub on Muse's day, so I assume he knew what he was talking about.

He mentioned that QOTSA were pissed they weren't headlining but GV wouldn't budge. Wonder if they're planning anything special in that regard, such as having some of the ...Like Clockwork guests come along.

    (prepares to get slammed)

I love QOTSA but they are kidding themselves if they think they are headliners. They are headline worthy by material and catalog standards but just don't have the mass appeal that a headliner needs to have. If they were headlining it would be Blur/Stone Roses all over again as far as reactions go.

All the above top 5's are great. Mine would be:

    1. Song for the Dead
    2. The Sky is Falling
    3. If I Had a Tail
    4. Lost Art of Keeping a Secret
    5. Mosquito Song
    10/24-10/26 - Life is Beautiful
    11/10 - Death From Above 1979

Agreed. They haven't released a bad song since they became a band. The closest to what I would call bad would be "Fairweather Friends" and "Vampyre" from the new record. Still love everything they have ever created. I did see them 3 more time last year though. Including the Lollapalooza pre-show at The Metro. Hoping the bust out the oldies...

    Go with:

    1. You Think I Ain't Worth A Dollar, But I Feel Like A Millionaire
    2. Feel Good Hit of the Summer
    3. Monsters In The Parasol
    4. Better Living Through The Chemistry
    5. Regular John

Honestly, just listen to their self-titled album, Rated R, and Songs For the Deaf. New album is great too. Actually just listen to all their albums. They don't have a bad one.
