    Default Fatboy Slim

I may be in the minority here, but I grew up listening to Fatboy Slim in the 90s and has a special place for me. But I am certain he will be playing a lot of cheesehouse if his past sets are evident. I may go see him since it's been 12 years since I last seen him play here in Dallas and the first time I saw him was at Red Rocks with the Chemical Brothers *shrug*

I enjoyed Fatboy Slim a lot when I was younger. He was one of the main draws for me in 2001. But I've moved on from him. His sets seem like they could be fun, but they also seem like they could be annoying. I may stop by, but I may not. Depends on conflicts.

Putting Fatboy Slim in the Yuma would be a nightmare. Even if it were a techno set, the morons would assume he's playing electro and it the line would run all the way to the Do Lab.

I wonder who is going to close out the sahara that day, him or skrillex?

I remember being excited when he was announced for 2008, having wanted to see him for some time. it was his first US appearance in ages. then his set was really lackluster. I completely lost interest at that point.

Can he still draw a huge crowd these days?

I have a feeling Skrillex will be closing the main after Muse.

I was at Frankie Knuckles while FBS played the next stage over at Wavefront Music Festival last year. Norman was playing the top of the Beatport charts and a few of his own mixed in.

Although if you haven't heard it, Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat is fantastic.

His live stream from Ultra last year seemed super fun and he was killing it. He plays barefoot and jumps around a lot. High energy stuff man.

Can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. i actually watched the livestream as well and thought it was a great set, much better than the 1 time I saw him in LA. He seemed to have packed the megastructure pretty full too. They can't possibly do anything other than the megastructure for Sahara again right?

Always a good time. I'm old school and not familiar too many new EDM acts. Glad there is something for me.

Just saw him at Wavefront this past summer and it was a lot more "banging" for lack of a better term. I remember when he was a bit more funky. It was good, kinda cheesy at times, but that's Fatboy Slim. He did play the hell out of Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat which after 9 minutes got really old really fast. If he could bring a set like he did in 2008, then I'm all in. More than likely will check it out

Like most of you I too grew up with a Norman Cook soundtrack, I've been dying for the chance to seem him for ages, but I'm not convinced. Not sure what I missed but the Ultra set really didn't do anything for me. Eat sleep rave repeat also, meh. It's also insanely likely he will be back to back with skrillex and those too are oil and water for me. I hope to be far from that tent before the herd comes in, I made that mistake last year around benny benasi's set time.

I suppose I could just be jaded, the thumping and winding sound a bit too much like everything else and too little like himself. Take star 69 for example, he kept the audio sample but what the hell was the beat he laid it over? Again, I'm probably just being a punk. I plan on going week two anyone so I'll just wait and catch the feed of week 1 before I decide. But yes, he is a bucketlister for me too, who am I kidding.

He was my first Sahara closer and it was a great time. I have no idea what he's done the past several years and thought he retired. I'm excited to get a chance to see him again.

WTF? Aside from small snippets of "Praise You" and "Right Here Right Now," he pretty much ignores all of his best musicl This is not the FBS that I used to love.

His 2008 set started off pretty fun, a bit cheesy but fun. Not sure if I'd like it now.

I saw him play at a club in 2012 and it was completely underwhelming. It felt like we were listening to a wedding DJ. My friends and I left after 30 minutes.
