He's certainly up there. I was fooled by him a couple of years back during the Swedish House Mafia debate. To be fair, knowyourhouse is doing a solid job of riling people up as well.

Yeah... this is totally EDM mainstream: http://www.djmag.com/on-the-floor

Yall need to quit throwing these anti-EDM, shoot from the hipster, garbage claims. The original discussion revolved around Garrix's place in the EDM scene and how he compares to the masters of the game (Hardwell, Tiesto, Eric Prydz, etc.). Now, everyone is claiming that they know the "real" house music by tossing around mainstream names like Disclosure and Gesaffelstein. And yes, I am serious about defending the DJs that are making waves in the scene. This applies to the underground scene, which apparently includes Disclosure and Gesaffelstein, as much as it applies to our captain of this EDM ship, Hardwell. But I'm sure there's more than one troll in this thread...yall can't be this anti-mainstream. Then again this is a Coachella forum...

People shouldn't play with others emotions like this. Some folk just aren't stable individuals.

So i decided to give Scoots ol website a little visit to see who else he manages, and the 2 that stuck out the most out of his small clients list where psy, and carly rae jepsen, all i can say about these 2 artists is that scoots banked on their hit songs... and now you rarely hear them...wouldnt be surprised if this is where martin garrix is going.

Cease your blasphemous slander! Scooter Braun is the greatest human being who ever lived, any artist that he so much as listens to is GUARANTEED at LEAST Madonna level success!

It's turned lazy. I'm simply trying to point out the merits of EDM's biggest names.

Disclosure and Gessafelstein may be mainstream, but at least their music has some substance and style. They're not just trying to make bangerrrrrz for the rave kids to roll face to.

I can't even.... ....... I was quoting your high and mighty tastes in sarcastic fashion. It's ironic that you'd slam people for appreciating the successful DJs in the game, proceed to slam "big house" (lmao, wtf is that? Do you mean Big Room House?), and give us mainstream names to "check out". Watch out! We have a taste maker over here!!! Or a troll.

Hi guys, I was hoping to start a discussion of the relative merits of Hardwell both as a house music producer and DJ. Is this the right thread for that?
    Darkside (1/25)
    Oneohtrix Point Never (2/7)
Four Tet (3/7) / Voices from the Lake (live) (3/7)
    London Grammar (3/25)
    Trentemoller (4/5)
    Factory Floor (4/15)
    Coachella (4/18-4/20)

Yeah, what would you say he's better at? Producing festival bangers or banging the dance floor at festivals?
