As much as I liked Sleeper, I really hope he has put this acoustic performance phase behind him. Plug in and get loud.
Agreed. I was kind of wishing FUZZ was on the lineup instead, only because I haven't seen them yet. It will be an awesome set regardless though.

Saw fuzz a few months ago and they were awesome. Not quite the same when ty is playing the drums though.
The FYF set was really great, that's when I really became a big fan of his. Sleeper was a really good album, and the Fuzz record is just incredible. Any chance he plays songs off Fuzz during his Coachella set?
his set at FYF last year was very subdued because he was playing all Sleeper stuff with an acoustic band. Knowing Ty's insanely prolific output... there will probably be another new album between now and chella.
I think Ty is done with touring Sleeper/acoustic. I saw him in mid-decemeber and it was an electric duo with Ty and Mikal playing off all his releases. Ty was on kickdrum and it rocked pretty fucking hard.
I too though Fuzz would be on the bill, possibly White fence too.
He had a great set last year at FYF as well as in 2011. Barring any conflicts, will definitely go see him again.

looks like he's ditched the acoustic thing indeed. great news.
He has. He's playing with Mikal Cronin and Emily Rose.
Just saw him a couple weeks ago at a small bar venue and he ripped it up. He as technically playing as the "Ty Segall Band" so I'm not sure how different the set or songs will be. He mostly played stuff off of Twins and then couple older ones. He randomly did a couple AC/DC covers for his encore haha.
This set was really great, lots of Slaughterhouse stuff and 3 new songs too. I thought "Feel" was the best of the bunch, and it starts just after the 27 minute mark.
Yeah, this was amazing. I've never seen a disappointing set from Ty. Loved the Motorhead cover. Easily one of my favorite sets of the weekend.
Yeah this was great. Plus someone who lost their phone during the set (probably in the mosh) was able to get it back at the end, which is always a good thing.
