Is it out of the realm of possibility that Friday's three biggest "vintage" acts, namely, the Replacements, Bryan Ferry, and the Cult all end up in either Mojave or Gobi?
Having seen the Replacements when they were drunk and brilliant as well as when they were drunk and awful, it was always in a club or small theater. They were never really big enough in the 80's to fill a stadium. They were best viewed in a dark, smokey basement bar where Paul could stumble around without hurting himself too much.
I am a bit queasy considering how their set may go over on the big stage in front of the masses camped out for Outkast and the Knife.
As far as Bryan Ferry goes, he deserves that outdoor sunset slot but the kids don't know who he is and they don't care.
The Cult should close the Mojave (vs Outkast.)
