    Default NEUTRAL MILK HOTEL!

Has everyone let the fact that Jeff played 2 years ago make this less exciting? Sure, they've been reunited for a little while, but this is amazing!

What are the chances they conflict with Arcade Fire? Those were my top two on wishlist, so I was just hoping to see them on different days on the poster. =[

ending the festival with NMH into Beck into Arcade Fire would be a thing of beauty

    That seems appropriate.

I've never listened to this band outside of SongPop samples.

Nice to see them on the lineup. With that tour all signs pointed to it. I'm seeing them in February so unless there's no one up against them, I'll probably skip them at the festival.

I'm hoping they go before Arcade Fire instead of Beck going before Arcade Fire.

    Motorhead > NHM > Beck > AF

It's the least Paul could give us for the shitty acts topping the other days.

Neutral Milk Hotel has two albums. Their second album, In the Aeroplane Over the Sea, is considered an indie masterpiece. Lead singer Jeff Mangum was reclusive until about 3 years ago, when he started playing solo gigs. Their recent reunion came after 14 years or so apart. They've been on many wishlists since the first Coachella, so this is a pretty huge deal.

I'm going to be on the rail filming NMH with an iPad and a GoPro. If I sneek in an SLR, all the better.

the NMH show is glorious. I srsly don't think i've ever been to a show where the audience was so happy to see a band perform songs. the band was really into it, they all looked like they were having a blast on stage. recommend to everyone, regardless of NMH fandom.

Wow! Just wow. Saw these guys last night.... Absolutely incredible! Jeff absolutely killed it and the band was incredible. It was a very high energy show and super loud and everyone on and off stage seemed to have an amazing time! I remarked to my fellow Coachella buddy that they don't NEED a quiet Outdoor, even if they deserve it... plenty noisy with Main speakers for sure. It will be a magical set in the desert with so many fellow fans!

    Here was the setlist:

    Two-Headed Boy
    The Fool
    Holland, 1945
A Baby for Pree / Glow Into You
    Gardenhead / Leave Me Alone
    Everything Is
The King of Carrot Flowers, Part One
The King of Carrot Flowers, Parts Two & Three
In the Aeroplane Over the Sea
    Naomi
    Ferris Wheel on Fire
    Song Against Sex
    Oh Comely
    Ruby Bulbs
    Snow Song, Part One

    Encore:
    Ghost
    [untitled]
    Two-Headed Boy, Part Two
    Engine

That seems to be the setlist that they've been doing for the entire tour. It's one of those things that makes me beyond excited for their set on Sunday. Plus, that's enough time to fit within an hour, so that's probably going be their Coachella set. It's going to be fucking great!

Was on the rail for their show in Boulder, CO the other night. My girlfriend heroically climbed on the stage and grabbed the set-list. Here it is!

The switched up the setlist a bit last night… started with King of Carrot Flowers and did Two Headed Boy later in the set. But these reviews pretty much mirror my experience last night. What a fucking phenomenal performance. Incredible high energy from the band right from the get-go, and the crowd reciprocated it ten fold, and then the band fed it right back. People were jumping, noshing, hugging, crying, singing, yelling and Jeff had a great big smile on his face the entire performance. The whole band looked like they were having a blast the entire performance. The performance I saw last night was far better than the set I saw from NMH last year. The Coachella crowd is in for a treat.

Exactly the same thing in Colorado! I did not expect the amount of moshing that took place to occur! It was so much fun.
