Fer shure! Try revisiting Tim again and make sure to check out Hootenanny, Stink EP, and Pleased To Meet Me. Hootenanny has the song that got me into The Replacements in the first place, "Color Me Impressed". Stink EP is more of a continuation of Sorry Ma... with the hardcore punk sound. Pleased To Meet Me is a continuation of their more polish sound that started with Tim. A lot of good stuff. After Pleased... their last two albums are more hit or miss but still contain some gems.

Just put them on the main with The Knife and OutKast so they don't conflict. That's all anyone asks...

But no matter what 10-15 tracks they play...I'm gonna love it...and as someone said, probably end up being like Pavement and Stone Roses...with us fans able to waltz right up to front 50 feet of stage right before showtime. Though if the young ones have any smarts...they won't allow any conflicts to interfere with their attending this show.
The Replacements - Bryan Ferry - Outkast - The Knife - Dum Dum Girls - Jon Spencer Blues Explosion - Broken Bells - Haim - Neko Case - Jagwar Ma - Goat - Waxahatchee

I'd feel pretty disappointed if I don't see full sets from The Replacements, The Knife, and OutKast. Crossing my fingers.

Anything would be just fine, but my true wish list would include Lay It Down Clown and The Ledge. I hope they put Ellie Goulding on the Outdoor so all the talkers and tweens will be over there.

I wouldn't expect: Unsatisfied, Here Comes a Regular, Skyway, Seen Your Video or Answering Machine. They seem to be sticking to the same 85% of their Riot sets. Saw them in Denver, and they were great. If you're a Mats fans you'll walk away happy, I think.

My biggest fear is that they'll play on the same stage as Outkast. I can't see that many people clearing out during the Mats when Outkast would be next. I'm hoping the Mats are on during Outkast. I saw PiL with a crowd of maybe a couple thousand while Jay-Z was playing. I'm hoping for a repeat of that.
Frozen Pilgrim: I think coldplay, the killers, and maroon 5 should just tour together all the time. then one day, I can firebomb the stadium they're in, killing all three bands and 60K of their mindless fans

That would totally blow as those of us that have waited 25 years for this will have to deal with talkers. Ugh.

I've always considered myself a huge 'Mats fan, although I've never seen them in concert. However, after watching several of the video clips on this link, I'm just not "feelin' it". Actually, they look boring live. What am I missing? Love their albums, though.

Yeah i expect this to be a lot like the Femmes last year only on a bigger scale. I'm not expecting a real high energy performance, but i know it's gonna sound real nice.

This what I found when I search the internet.
they're called the 'mats, becasue early critics derogatorily referred to them as the placemats, which the band and the fans took back and turned into an endearment.

"The Mats," lead singer Paul Westerberg once said in an interview that I read they were "The Mats" when they played drunk.
I seem to forget that I really like Don't tell a Soul. I really would to see "Talent Show" or "We'll Inherit the Earth". I'm trying not to pay attention to their Riot Fest setlists to make this set more special.

I think we should make a suggested setlist and a petition and get everyone to sign it then they'd have to play it.

Wow that's a huge get. Can't believe passes were only $99 to that.

Not really a surprise they're announcing more shows though it would have been cool to think of the Coachella as the last ones.
