Michael Young was nothing but class during his time at the majors. Hope to see him one day return as a coach

Diamondbacks signed Bronson Arroyo to a pretty hefty contract today.

Disappointed in that. We Reds fans knew it was coming, but he's been so dependable in his time there – as well as so good to the fans and the city – that I think we were all hoping they'd figure out a way to keep him. Even at 36 the guy seemed indestructible.

Well I hope he is indestructible, because the Dbacks really need a guy like that in their rotation.

Since coming to the Reds in 2006, he only pitched fewer than 200 innings once (and that year he had 199). He can be streaky, but he hit at least 14 wins in five of his eight seasons with Cincinnati.

Also, as the photo above proves, he was also known for making questionable tonsorial choices.

Bronson Arroyo is a little better than .500 pitcher career pitcher, so he'll fit in nicely with the 86 win at best Dbacks

I'd like to argue you on this, but you're right.

So, in two years, Jeter will be gone and Rodriguez will be back?

    That'll be interesting.

Damn that just makes me a bit upset about Jeter retiring. Not that I wasn't expecting it to happen soon but as far as I can remember he was a Yankee. Going to be strange going forward after this year without him.

So does he get a higher or lower percentage then Maddox on his HOF vote?

The Red Stockings have Kenny Powers on their minor league roster:

When asked by police why he was in the Fort Myers Beach area, Denney, according to police, replied: "Partying and looking to get some pussy.
    . . .

In addition to the alleged DUI, which Yahoo Sports could not immediately verify, police in Washington County, Ark., arrested Denney on Dec. 7, 2013 for disorderly conduct, minor in possession of alcohol and littering after witnessing him throw a bottle of Malibu Black Rum into oncoming traffic, according to a police report. The bottle, the report said, narrowly missed a vehicle.

The arrest marks the second consecutive spring a Boston prospect has been in trouble with the law. Last March, Red Sox pitching prospect Drake Britton was arrested for DUI after driving 111 mph in a 45-mph zone, hopping a curb and ending up caught in a barbed-wire fence. When asked for his license, Britton gave the police a debit card.

To you Cardinals fans, Corbin was recommended to have Tommy John. He was my preseason pick for the Cy Young also. Damn.

So whats everyone think about Tanaka so far?

He definitely has the stuff, and looks very promising. His straight fastball looks hittable, but what a splitter, slider he has featured so far in Spring Training.
    Upcoming Shows:
    Kasabian/Bo Ningen: 10/1 @ Metro
Coachella: 4/10-12 @ Empire Polo Fields

He does looks like he has the stuff but so did Dice K when he first came into the league. The Japanese pitchers are always tricky because the pitch every 6 days not 5 days in Japan. It all just depends on how fatigued their arms are going to be on the shorter rest. As a Yankees fan I just hope he takes after Darvish and not Dice K.

I think his first couple of months will be very good, sub 3.00 era good. However, I feel he will fatigue and people will recognize his splitter and be able to lay off. Overall I think he will become a good 3rd pitcher.
    you are soooooooo good lookin
