I thought people would be interested, especially those who missed him last year.

It's not that big of a deal lol

If your problem is being off-topic, we have gone way more off-topic than this before.

Yea im just grouchy this morning. It was just in the san francisco shows thread and upcoming shows thread so it was a bit redundant. Overall I would of just ignored it most days so dont mind me.

You liked MBDTF and Graduation better than College Dropout? Just curious if there is any particular reason why.

College Dropout would fall somewhere in the top 10, but it doesn't hold up as well today for me. Plus, Graduation has always been very special to me personally. I mean...Good Morning>Champion>Stronger>I Wonder>Good Life>Can't Tell Me Nothing>Barry Bonds....Drunk & Hot Girls is kinda weak I guess.....but then Flashing Lights>Everything I am>The Glory>Homecoming>Big Brother...that's quite a run there. I don't know why Graduation isn't higher on people's Kanye lists.

And MBDTF is really his masterpiece. One of the best albums of the 2010s

As a guy with a Backpacking trip already planned for that weekend, I am very happy it is going to be on a Thursday.

Interesting, I think Graduation has aged the worst out of all of his albums. It's my least favorite other than 808's.

Plus it includes Barry Bonds and Drunk & Hot Girls, which are the two worst songs Kanye ever made.

Thanks for taking the time to answer, I appreciate it. Certain albums, when they strike a cord with somebody they become special for along time. Personally, I think that College Dropout is an excellent album, a classic if you will. It still stands up for me and is my favorite Kanye album hands down. With that said, I know I am in the minority, but I haven't liked much of his stuff since. I think I have a problem separating his personality from his art, which makes me biased.

I'm probably one of the few who hopes that AM plays opposite Kanye. Although, through exploring Disclosure, I wouldn't be against watching AM then hustling over to see Disclosure close on Twin Peaks.

Graduation was the album that turned me into a hip-hop fan (sad as it is)...don't worry, since then I have listened retroactively to the great albums of the 90s and early 00s.

I would bet money that Disclosure is the Twin Peaks headliner, but I am not a good gambler.

Typhoon is an act from an already stacked Friday that I recommend people check out. "Young Fathers" was in my top 10 songs from 2013, they are like a folky, younger, AF.

seriously, for reasons i have already stated, Disclosure closing makes no sense.

Disclosure makes more sense closing TP than subheadlining the main stage. Its definitely the biggest up in the air situation though.

Disclosure will be subheadlining Twin Peaks and Arctic Monkeys will be headlining it. Having Arctic Monkeys play before Kanye on the main stage would simply be moving them up one hour from when they played in 2011, and considering the success of their latest album, that's not gonna happen. The difference in genre makes sense between Kanye and AM. Also, yes, Disclosure can play when the sun is going down, they played in broad daylight at Treasure Island. Ok cool.

& who opens for kanye? tegan & sara? not gonna happen. They wouldnt have a bigger act 2nd to last on twin peaks than they have 2nd to last on the main

I'm putting my money for AM > Kanye on the main with Disclosure closing Twin Peaks. Makes the most sense.

I know we don't have a precedence for a rap headliner, but the last two years here's how Friday looked:

2012: Foo Fighters > Neil Young on main with Justice closing Twin Peaks

2013: The National > Macca on main with Pretty Lights closing Twin Peaks

I put AM in the same category as FF and The National...

Has an EDM act even played on Lands End before?

no, i dont think an edm act has played lands end, however, there has also never been a non-rock night. I think that would be much more out of the blue.

If we've learned anything from past Coachellas it's that disclosure can more than hold their own closing against a headliner and they fit the closing spot very well both because of their aesthetic and sound.

I want to see all three so that will be a rough night for me. Especially since Lands End and Twin Peaks are so far apart.

    My prediction:

Lands End: Chromeo-> Disclosure -> Kanye
Twin Peaks: Tegan and Sara -> Arctic Monkeys

That way you kind of keep all the electronic-ish music on one stage and the rock on a different stage. Or maybe Tegan and Sara close Sutro while Grouplove plays before AM?

Excited for the lineup announcement now, if only for the eternal glory that will come with getting Disclosure's slot right.

Everyone is just guessing at this point. If Disclosure close Twin Peaks then it will be the first year there's no rock band closing. If Arctic Monkeys close Twin Peaks, then it will likely be the first year an electronic act is on the Main Stage.

Either way there will be heartbreak for me, but I'm still looking forward to seeing the schedule.

I gave my case and you just don't agree lol

I still think AM/Kanye has more crossover than Disclosure/Kanye and the big modern rock acts have historically subbed the main.

I agree with your reasoning too, it makes sense. I just think something else will happen.

HOWEVER, I would rather have Disclosure > Kanye on the main, since Disclosure has alluded me twice this past year.

Okay, I guess it just comes down to the disagreement of disclosure/Kanye having more crossover. We shall see

Ugggghhh does anyone think Chromeo will be on the main stage? Gross. Can't those guys just go play in a woodshed with some headphones on? I have no disagreements with Disclosure being on the main stage, but we won't know until July........
