How do ticket sales and lineup announcements work? I'm considering going this year, and I heard early bird tickets will be going on sale in a couple weeks, and then the lineup announced after coachella, then regular ticket sales?
say i buy an early bird ticket, then end up not liking the line up... are tickets easy to sell? I feel like its not as popular as coachella, and i don't want to end up losing money!
or what if i wait to buy it until after the lineup is announced, do they sell out quickly? or will it be fairly easy to buy?
It will probably sell out closer to August and you will be fine getting tickets after the lineup is released. If you are unsure then why not just wait? Is saving a couple of bucks worth the headache?
Outside Lands can be relied upon for a solid lineup.
But if you are havering about going, you should probably wait. Personally I'm going to get tickets the first chance I get, because I know the lineup will have enough on it, even if the headliners aren't great - like last year, where Macca was the only one of the three I had any interest in seeing at all.

Lolla's line-up is out and I would expect around 15 or so bands to be at both fests (don't have time to do exact numbers but the past couple years have had about that many bands at each fest.)
Of note, Cut Copy is billed higher than Chromeo and nice to see Blood Orange is touring around then.
I have faith that the OSL line-up will be significantly better. Sunday at Lolla is just terrible. I hope that we get the early bird ticket sale date today.

Well, it' not a flat $30 increase. The second level pricing only went up by $25. Still a substantial increase. I'm curious what the regular on-sale price will be now. Given this info looks like it will be closer to $275.
