I wasn't trying to signal you out directly just happened to quote you to ask a generalization question. It just seems like it a lock that both Elton and Kanye will headline because they are both headlining Bonnaroo.

Also when Macca headlined both last year it was in his contract to do so. I assume if Elton or Kanye would be headlining both wouldn't it have been done the same way and someone leak it by now? I feel like we knew Macca was going to headline pretty early on.

I would like to see Owen Pallett on the lineup. I think he would be a good fit.

A few of my friends are Beck fan boys and they thought his Sasquatch set was pretty boring. I'm only a causal fan but I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Kanye West - Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band - The Killers
Tiesto - Foster the People - Massive Attack - Arctic Monkeys
    Modest Mouse - Disclosure - D'Angelo - Ray LaMontagne
the Avett Brothers - Spoon - Lykke Li - Chromeo
Atmosphere - Iron & Wine - Cut Copy - CHVRCHES - The Temper Trap
Grace Potter and the Nocturnals - Mayer Hawthorne - John Butler Trio - The Kooks - Tycho

I'll go crazy trying to sit here and figure out any more of the undercard.

It's pretty obvious Foster the People is ruled out. They're playing at Squamish Music Festival the same days as OSL. Also the fact that they're not playing at Bonnaroo.

My wishlist definitely consists of Coldplay headlining. But we'll see...

That line up looks pretty awesome.... now, hopefully when the line up comes out it has a large portion of the artists listed. Plus, i would LOVE to be in the room while the Tiesto and Kanye reps battle out for closing out the main stage, assuming they are booked on the same day. (hypothetical)

I've had some people with sources tell me that Tiesto, Lykke Li, CHVRCHES, Cut Copy, and Spoon will be there... So that lineup seems extremely possible if those statements are true.

Well I assume they'll only play one day, but the days are reserved on their tour schedule.

That doesn't necessarily mean anything. Just filler spots until they announce other dates probably.

Can't go to OSL this year...I'll be pretty bummed if they get both Kanye and Bruce. That'd hurt to miss.

Huh? It would be very easy for a band to play both festivals and would actually make them more likey since they will be on this side of the continent. I'm sure Squamish and band management would work out the schedule for them to play both fests if they really wanted to.

Thanks for the update Nickntto. Keep em coming.

All good, I was just being dry. People are just likening Elton and Kanye because they are two of the only large artists headlining other fests this year, who have not done OSL.

Also, I live extremely close the Concord Pavillion where Lionel Richie is playing in June... and I go to Outside Lands every year. If I wanted to see Lionel Richie, I could just go across the street. Also people from SF would definitely travel an extra 45 minutes to see him so I don't think he'll be on the lineup.
Who else would you add on there (other than what you stated above)? I just tossed Lionel on to fulfill the old timer spot, not sure he'd even be top line.

I would love to see the strokes and Interpol on the bill this year and I think they would fit right in. Tour dates don't conflict either. thoughts?

He's touring with AF so if you guys are ruling out AF, he won't be there

The Killers? This is a headliner for Outside Lands we're talking about here, not Life is Beautiful or NSSN. Coldplay would fit in the Bruce/Kanye headlines better.

Jack Johnson, Black Eyed Peas, DMB, Kings of Leon, and other mainstream bands have played OSL. The Killers fit into that category along with Coldplay...

Yeah, but it's not 2009/2010 anymore.

The Killers have been everywhere since Battle Born came out including NSSN, Life is Beautiful (APE run), two nights at Bill Graham, and a slot at Bridge School (which they later cancelled). Coldplay have only played the Bay Area twice since 2008 and have headlined basically every major festival in America except Outside Lands.

RHCP and NIN headlined last year. I'd argue that the Killers will always be as relevant as them, "Shot at the Night" was a pretty big song and they released their greatest hits late last year. If OSL pulls some mix of Bruce, Kanye, Elton, or Prince, I'd expect the third headliner to be a little more low budget.

Anyone have input on the possibility of Clapton, the Allman Brothers or perhaps the Black Crowes? Tedeschi Trucks and Jackie Greene have openings to support the aforementioned.
