So OutKast is in Toronto on August 4th, so let's wildly speculate where they will go next!

I'm not very good at the festival guessing game but these are the current summer tour dates for Arctic Monkeys...pretty sizable gap right around Outside Lands. They also have a handful of dates with Tame Impala...now wouldn't that be amazing?!

Tame Impala is probably not going to be there as they played the main stage two years ago. Not a good set, unfortunately, as the sound was pretty terrible and the lead singer did not seem into it.
Well the Bonnaroo lineup just punched me in the face
Also everyone take note that Cut Copy was billed higher than Chromeo on the bonnaroo lineup
Adding these artists to the "realistic" wishlist:
Chance the Rapper
Lake Street Dive
Elton John might be a nice "4th Headliner"
Would like to see Bobby Womack from the Roo lineup at OSL
My baseless, useless guesses on what overlaps from Bonnaroo:
The John Butler Trio
The Naked and Famous
Carolina Chocolate Drops
11/20: The Drive by Truckers, Sturgill Simpson @ The Fillmore
11/21: DJ Harvey @ PW
11/24: mr. Gnome @ Bottom of the Hill
11/25: DJ Shadow & Cut Chemist @ Fox Theater Oakland
11/28: Dixon @ TBA
12/1: Angel Olsen, Kevin Morby @ GAMH

12/6: Dream Police @ Brick and Mortar
12/11: tUnE-yArDs, Cibo Matto @ Fox Theater Oakland

12/13: RRose, Carlos Souffrant @ TBA
12/17: Sleepy Sun @ Brick and Mortar
I'm really surprised Bonnaroo re-booked Kanye after the 2008 debacle. I was one of the few that waited until 4:30am for his less-than-stellar performance (that I ended up walking away from after 15 minutes because it was THAT BAD). At that point, having previously witnessed his selfish 2006 performance in which he again showed up late and performed half an hour into Sigur Ros' set, I was sticking around just to witness the meltdown, and, at least in that respect, I wasn't disappointed.
Not even considering his numerous PR issues, I have zero respect for the guy. I pray he doesn't come to OSL.
I think it's time Crystal Castles make their debut Outside Lands appearance =>
11/17- MSTRKRFT, Indy
12/18- Dillon Francis, Fox Theater
12/31- Chromeo, Fort Mason
2/7- London Grammar, Fox Theater
3/20- OK GO, Catalyst
3/25- Echosmith, Regency Ballroom
I don't think 'Ye would be a fit for OSL, but he is pretty damn big in the Bay. getting him & Kendrick would expose the Fest to a whole nother market a la Kanye/Wiz at Coachella in 2011.
11/21 - Pearl Jam - Viejas Arena
Lol expose the fest to a new market , the I listen to the radio market. Everyone knows Kanye there's no exposing anything .White kids who like Kanye , same fucking people.
Spicy pie is mainstream shit.
"ain't no thang but a chicken wang"
In other news, the Phantogram show at the Fox last night was fucking sick.
^ And what does that have to do with OSL?
Who do we think are the potential headliners this year? Here is a list of some possibilities, but I haven't checked all of their tour schedules to know if its possible. I'm not using any repeat headliners because I don't think there will be:
Elton John (more likely now that he is a Roo headliner)
Bruce (hasn't announced west coast dates for the 2014 tour yet)
Outkast (playing 40 festivals and haven't announced a Bay Area date yet)
Green Day (sticking with the local theme that OSL likes aka Metallica, Further, or Neil Young)
Prince (who knows with the purple freak, but its not completely crazy since he's been active lately)
Mumford & Sons (Were going to headline Roo and could bring in the younger crowd)
Coldplay (playing SXSW this year so maybe they have some new material out and will be touring)
Kanye West (headlining Roo, biggest name in hip hop right now)
The Killers (just throwing them in the mix)
The Cure (see the Killers)
Tool (have headlined Roo, are playing shows this year)
Black Sabbath (headlined Lolla recently)
Drake (Pretty huge right now)
Eminem (playing Squamish same weekend so will be on the west coast)
What are some other headliner possibilities? If we get two of the top three, that would make me a very happy camper and justify the price of the ticket alone.
why does everyone always throw Prince in there? every year he is brought up, yet every year there's absolutely no reason to ever suspect he will play.
