Not neccessarily. I would imagine like most contracts, prior agreements would take priority, But having the pool of $$$ coachella has, if they want some one bad enough, they can probably persuade them and help break any prior arrangements.

"The more agendas we can touch, the more different each artist is from the other ones, the crazier the ideas we can put on a stage, that is what I want to see," says Pablo Soler, one of the founders of Barcelona's Primavera Sound Festival.

That would be absolutely packed with conflicts for me, which is what happens when you have such a strong lineup top to bottom. At least I wouldn't have a lot of down time. Gotta make it out there some year.

Apparently it was hard. This is how you do it.

    -Sun Ra Arkestra/Warpaint

    -Future Islands/St. Vincent/Neutral Milk Hotel

    -Chrome/CHVRCHES/QOTSA

    -Julie Ruin/Pixies

    -Slint/National

    -Jenny Lewis/Serge G Tribute/Loop

    -Foals/Chromeo/Cold Cave

    -Volcano/Dismember/Kendrick/Godspeed
Going from Godspeed to Blood Orange or Cloud Nothings and then to NIN will be a total bastard. Also, there's a big conflict: Nine Inch Nails vs Mogwai. Another one is Jesu vs Factory Floor. Chvrches should switch places with Real Estate or Midlake because they are way too big for the Pitchfork stage. Going to be such a clusterfuck, especially after the 15-20 minute walk it will take to get there from St. Vincent. Wonder if I should even bother.

    And there is a clashfinder

    Speaking of which...

http://clashfinder.com/s/ps14/?user=01nmx3.p3 - my worst clash is the Godspeed/Dismemberment/Seun Kuti/NIN/Mogwai clusterfuck. I'd also like to check Girl Band, but it's really unlikely they'll win over The Ex - even if I catch The Ex during the week. Shellac/Bo Ningen will also be tough

Anyone heard word of what's up with Haxan Cloak, Andy Stott, Demdike, etc?

For me, most of the people you run by through the years are going to stay in your life for a very small fraction of time so I try to make the most of them if they are eager to share. If they don’t, I just carry on.

As for the important people, the ones I want to stay more involved with, I take as much care of them as I would want for myself and try not to get too disappointed if they don’t reciprocate. In the very final end we are all individuals with a different approach to the same things.

I'm still not sure what to do with the Chvrches/Chrome conflict but sorted most of the other ones. It helped that 3 acts came through Vancouver the month before the festival.

The 2nd of 6 acts was announced on their FB page:

    Hamilton Leithauser
    Viernes 30 / Friday 30th / Divendres 30
    21:30 Heineken Hidden Stage

    Primavera Sound 2014
    Parc del Fòrum, Barcelona

so what's up with artists like fort romeau, prurient and andy stott inexplicably missing from the set times program? getting kind of bummed at the idea of them no longer being there.
