I still get actors, producers, and other people show up late to jobs at the studio because they claimed they got lost because they don't know this part of town, and I simply refuse to accept that as an excuse anymore.

ha, that lady i was talking about asked me to send her the emails i have been sending her every friday for over a year. she asked if they provide the exact details that they provide. it's pretty comical at this point. i am going to call her after i send it to make sure she got it. i really don't get it.

I have that issue with a few guys I work with, I have joked in our meeting that they probably have a rule set up so my emails go directly into the trash. Since the boss is usually in the meeting they make a point after that to answer me.

I love getting off work at 3PM, except that the people I dislike work until 5PM. I swear they wait till I leave for the day so they can send me a bunch of stupid fucking emails just to ruin my morning.

Yeah they probably just don't feel like sending emails until the end of their day.

Yeah, I am sure it's not on purpose, but it definitely feels planned when I get in at 7AM and haven't had coffee yet. I have a bottle of wine at home waiting for me. I have mentally uncorked it multiple times this morning.

What's your opinion on "I'm leaving the company emails?"
    All,
As some of you may know, today is my last day working for ___. It’s been a pleasure getting to know each of you. I consider myself very lucky having had the opportunity to meet and/or work with all of you. Please stay in touch.

Personally, I think they are tacky for several reasons. They are impersonal (everyone in the bcc), vague (give no indication as to where the person is going), and generally sent to an excessively broad distribution (I get them from people I rarely work with).

I find that less annoying than the daily "wish _____ a happy birthday/anniversary" from the head admin lady. Especially since we have locations throughout the state. Oh hey person I have never met or even heard of, happy birthday!

i generally find these people end up providing a linked in account and it's a way to ensure all these colleagues are included on their linked in. i think it's nice to get some sort of notice that someone is leaving. i would appreciate a more personal greeting myself, but that can also be hard if you've been told not to communicate it for whatever reasons or if you are going to a competitor. generally though, if we enjoy each other personally, i usually get a personal conversation before the mass email. i think the mass email is more important for letting people who you casually work with know you are leaving, so that you don't contact them anymore.

Good to know. I planned on writing some specific personal emails to people I have worked with who I find important to keep our relationship, along with a couple gifts for some prior managers who have been very supportive of me, and the rest will find out via linkedin.

I don't really understand billing at all at my work. I just hope I'm not messing up people's accounts.

I have been dealing with your company for many years, they hold the contract for most construction companies. Their billing has always been a mess, so I wouldn't worry too much.

My new co-worker laughs after he makes statements pertaining to our work.

"I think we can eliminate that table and just put in the attachment, which gives them more detail about the test results ha ha ha HA!"

"We'll want to go through and check to make sure that the components are consistent in each section ha ha ha HA!"
