Anything is street slang for meth when meth is your only cohort, thelastgreatman. Don't think we don't know that your regular dieting/ binge eating consists of meth, and its comedown. You ought to either quit your job so you can steal for your meth habit full time, or just quit the shit all together. We're pulling for you!

Can't be TheLastGreatMAn, there's no smart hat in his profile pic.

as for hiphop, I could go for these acts in no particular order.

    A Tribe Called Quest
    Mr. Muthafukin' Exquire
    Black Hippy
Del La Soul - closing out the Mojave on Sunday night with it turned into a proper roller rink
    Body Count

Only after I saw J5 last April, I found out hiphop can be good live.

    I'd like to see:
    A Tribe Called Quest
    Deltron 3030

    I wish:
    Outkast
    Beastie Boys
Those who believe in telekinetics, raise my hand

    The OP needs a nap.

Just saw A$AP Ferg at Trillectro in DC. Half the crowd caught the Holy Spirit at some point during the set. Easily one of the best rap show crowds I've ever had the privilege of being a part of. Freddie Gibbs is like the rap game's boogieman, as well as the best rapper out right now. Would love to see him live. Future is Future and deserves a set strictly off that reason alone. Kevin Gates is like if Drake didn't sleep with a nightlight.

So much decent rap music out there if you take five minutes to look. Not that hard.

How do you propose they do a Beastie Boys set? Not slandering your opinion, but genuinely asking what the best way for Beastie Boys to tour again would be.

    Busta Rhymes
    Ludacris
    Meth & Red

I think all of them would crush late night sets.

Busta Bus is one of my high school pipedreams. Genesis was my album for all of freshman year.

Love that front to back. I haven't given any of his albums a second listen since It Ain't Safe No More but I'm looking forward to his Extinction Level Event PT 2 album. Just hoping Cash Money doesn't make him any worse than he has been lately.

--- I guess I care enough to explain something. Here goes nothing. I think it's sad to perpetuate problems that were also historically devastating. I think it is sad to still hear certain words that are demeaning and show little respect for life and people, as well as words that glorify or make light of great problems of the past. It's really alarming to me that people capitalize on words like the n-word, objectifying women, men, etc. More personally, I have listened to rap and hip-hop every now and then, especially when I use to deal with people of so called authority. I always felt like having that "Mama said Knock You Out" mentality for my career aspirations. I'm 33 by the way. It was fun and stupid, I admit. Then I thought, ok, how about that underground stuff, and well, I don't participate in glorifying drugs.. not that all the music is about that, but anyway, I won't participate on this thread anymore - I was curious what was being followed these days on this website and thought to drop names to see what kind of reaction I would get. I was being half-serious and totally honest.

All in all, I don't like any genres of music where people capitalize on messages and "art" that is demeaning, especially when it uses that n-word. I hope you don't as well... It's seriously not appropriate and hurtful, especially to those who experienced racism.
Quit being a pussy. They rap about their environments. It's not all flowers and butterflies in their life.

Well Eminems new album comes out Nobember 5th.

It's called The Marshall Mathers LP 2

    I'm sad now.

From Billboard: Expect the first taste of "MMLP2," executive produced by Rick Rubin and Dr. Dre, on Tuesday (Aug. 27) with new single, "Berzerk."

Cool Re: Hip-Hop Acts Coachella 2014

I would be very stoked to see Trinidad James at coachella in 2014.... I think it would make perfect sense to have him play!

    Jay Electronica
    Chuck D
    Atmosphere

    Madlib
    Slick Rick
    RiFF RAFF

    More desirable but less likely
    J. Cole
    ATCQ (or just Q-Tip)
    Outkast (or just Big Boi)

yeah, and RiFF RaFF would be great. I was mad that I missed Bronson because I learned Jody HiGHROLLER himself came out for Bird on a Wire.

Drake is a no brainer... yet to make a Coachella appearance. He will likely close outdoor theater one night

    also likely or possible..
Eminem (headliner doubtful but he would get main stage i hope not though)
Kendrick Lamar (if no Drake next choice for popular new rapper)
RiFF RaFF (daytime set and cameo with Diplo/Major Lazer)
LL Cool J (oldschool appeal, touring again)
Chance The Rapper (for the pitchfork groupies)
Rick Ross (not sure but he would fit the bill if Drake doesnt come out)
    Big Sean (same as above)
    Goodie Mob (possible)
    Schoolboy Q (gaining popularity)
Dom Kennedy (releasing a lot of material in 2013)
Dizzee Rascal (international appeal, new album)

    unlikely but possible rap/rock hybrids
Rage Against the Machine (oldschool appeal)
    Limp Bizkit
