I think I'm going to try to go to weekend 2. So much stuff I missed in 2013 and I've been wanting to go to this for so long now. How fast do tickets usually sell out?
    4/18-20 Coachella
    4/26 Simian Mobile Disco @ Pappy & Harriet's
5/1 The Horrors @ First Unitarian Church
5/29 Thee Oh Sees @ Church on York
    6/7-9 Governors Ball
    6/14-15 Low End Theory Festival

I'm a light sleeper and I've always slept fine at festivals. The combination of toxins in my system generally helps in getting me to sleep, as do some ear plugs. Our campsite at Sasquatch in 2012 with a view of the main stage across the valley is something I wouldn't trade for the world.

Their website says last year sold out in 90 minutes. Having 2 weekends this year might affect how long it takes to sell out.. maybe.

Per ticketmaster there is a internet pre-sale and live nation pre-sale...both starting 2/6 at 10am PST.

Someone please post or PM if you get this information.

I haven't heard about them doing it again. I have heard that the Greyhound that goes to Qunicy will generally just drop people at the Gorge since 90% of the people on the bus are going there anyway. Failing that you can hitch a ride from Qunicy, but you know, you'll get loved tenderly or whatever.

Just drive or find someone to tag along with. Taking the bus sounds like the worst thing ever.

With the exception of last year it hasn't sold out that fast. May will probably sell fairly quickly, but I'd expect July to take a while since the kids these days give 0 fucks about New Order, Kraftwerk and Soundgarden.

From Facebook, the code should be "EARLYBIRD". Though they also said to a couple others that they can't provide the code. Don't know if it is or isn't the right code.

    Most were sold in pre-sales.

Both weekends AND newly expanded Squamish are going on sale in a couple days. I don't see a repeat of last year.

They were pretty hard to come by if not impossible to find last year the week of. Although due to the facebook response and the fact that Julysquatch is geared toward actual music fans and not shitty 90's babies I think that weekend will be an easy craigslist score.

I hope so. It does seem like weekend 2 is favored here while weekend 1 is the favorite on fb.

Weekend 2 is probably favored here because of the Coachella overlap with weekend 1.

Probably due to everyone in the region who did not get a Coachella ticket and or wanted to see Outkast. Now they got their wish.

You highly doubt someone's subjective opinion of two lineups in comparison to their opinion of another lineup?

I highly doubt this. When Coachella's lineup is printed in black text, it looks largely less impressive than when it's printed in a bright color.

I think it just looks less over whelming since the acts are already broken up into their respective days. Its not a jumbled mess of bands on 1 flyer. Coachella keeps it real.

WhatLies is right, though. The deluge of bland tech house DJs, synth retro pop nu-disco, boring radio indie bands, and abhorrent EDM djs all lumped in together into one long list makes Coachella look objectively more impressive than when the lineup is divided into 3 distinct days.

Nathan, have you considered that this might be a math issue? Perhaps you're incapable of adding the acts you like on the Sasquatch lineups and dividing that number by 3.

Touche Guedita. Cajmere, Maceo Plex, Hot Since 82, Scuba and Laurent Garnier are all far too boring to conjure any sort of excitement whatsoever. Good thing for molly, without it we'd all die of boredom. Thank you for setting me straight on the radio bands as well. Queens of the Stoneage, Arcade Fire, Beck, Muse, and Lorde are the least interesting musicians on the radio. To make matters worse, I hear they are all terrible live!

Christ, you're stupid. Your personal "objective" opinion that those handful of DJs aren't overexposed OR boring LA club acts that lack any sort of forward thinking and cater to a particular type of Coachella goer differs than mine, I suppose. Pointing out a handful of rock acts you're excited about certainly negates nathan or my preference for more of the acts listed on Sasquatch's lineup, too! What an objective smack down.

When I look at the second weekend I see seven acts that I would want to see that I'm not either planning to see or have seen within the last four months. As well most of these acts are going to be on a West Coast tour where I'm not so concerned to see mulitple times besides like Kraftwerk.Unless the bands I don't know at Sasquatch! are good I'm not really that into it.Also I'm kinda shocked that Sasquatch didn't get Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds for weekend 2.

I would objectively take Daniel Avery, Oneohtrix Point Never, Audion, and Jon Hopkins over all of the Yuma lineup save for Dixon. And even with Dixon, who is just a personal favorite, 3 of these names have had forward thinking, relevant releases in the last year so it's nice to see them booked NOW, and not a few years after the fact.

whats wrong with you? When did i state that i was going to lay the "smack down" of objectivity in my last post? Only someone that would prefer sasquatch week 1 over coachella would have such an issue
