I think it was more of a pissing match than a beef. Zia stil rocks a BJM Sticker on the back of her synth. Whatever it was about was good for both bands.

Strange that APF hasn't officially announced the lineup adds, still shows Primal Scream on its official site and FB page and that the comment linking to the adds seems to have been deleted.

Whatever, I do not want them raising the ticket price before we buy our tickets.

Guess I'll post this in here too:

Random tidbit I found out last night from an FYF promoter regarding contract obligations. Slowdive were scheduled and offered to play APF but had to turn them down as Primavera locked them down for their first appearance. Very likely why they aren't playing Coachella either.

I totally assumed that they'd end up at FYF after seeing the Primavera announcement.

The ticket price only went up to $157. That's still great.

Person Pitch is a better record than anything Animal Collective ever put out. Tomboy was meh.

Also, who on this new lineup announcement is also at Coachella? No one? Whatever happened to that having to wait til Coachella's lineup dropped business? I thought for sure we'd see Ty Segall and Bo Ningen.

Yeah, I still can't believe Ty Segall hasn't played this fest yet. However, it says "more to be announced" at the bottom of the poster. Perhaps one or two Coachella acts will on the 3rd wave?

EDIT* I was also expecting Warpaint.

I think Temples is playing both. Not sure on other smaller names.

Yeah, but I don't think they'll be "big" names.

EDIT* I could be wrong. Do not remember who was listed on last year's final announcement.

Was Greg Ashley always on the lineup? Y'all need to see him. I caught his band The Gris Gris opening for Yeah Yeah Yeas back in 2006 and they were so fucking good. Never heard acoustic jams played so loudly.

Did I miss somewhere in the announcement that the War on Drugs was added? Hell yes, finally get to see them after multiple failed attempts.

There's almost TOO much goodness on this lineup, suddenly scheduling conflicts are bothersome to me. Luckily there isn't much real estate between the stages, so catching half sets won't be a big deal.

    Heartbreaking. :le sigh:

Ah well, there's always next year.

Why yes, yes you can. They moved it out a week this year. (Just for you!) Last year was rough, doing both Coachellas and then APF in three straight weekends nearly killed me. Instead, it made me stronger. Do it, do it, do it, do it...

She also has Stagecoach, so this would be 4 weekends of festivals in a row. That's rough for anyone.

not to mention i'd have to hustle on lost and found stuff post festival for a few days straight before abandoning it for a few days right when everyone wants their stuff back.

I feel the same way, and I keep really enjoying the bands I'm researching. I can't find an image of last year's set times, the link on the old website is down. Does anyone have one? Or could I at least get a sense of when the day starts and ends? 3 stages, right?

This Roger Sellers 8 songs album from 2013 is mellow and lovely.

This is a clear example of how outsourcing is still a viable option.

    Yep, three stages.

Friday and Saturday were both doors open at Noon, with music starting around 1-2PM, going until 2AM or so. Sunday it started later, with the music kicking up at 3-4PM and ending at 1AM.

Let me see, I think I have a schedule in Excel around here somewhere...
