Sorry if this is somewhere else on the forum or the Cochella... website. But I cant find this info anywhere.
My questions is, do the merch tents and vendors accept travellers checks?
That is all. Thank you.

But I was wondering if anyone knows anything using Travellers checks?
I have one I dont think so, a fat lady and best thread ever.
I was just wondering if anyone has used travellers checks to buy food or merch. Or have they just been turned away?
Also, does food and merch accept credit cards?
Thanks for your help.
From the Coachella FAQ: Food/Beverage & other items are sold at the venue for CASH only
traveller's cheques are obsolete...

If you have travellers checks, cash them in before Coachella. You will need cash.
Someone should jam a panda up his peehole.
Fuck Tiesto and his overblown schtick.
Don't waste your money on travellers cheques -- places that are cash only will probably not take them, and places that do will charge you a surcharge if they're in Canadian dollars.
Just check w/ your bank to make sure your ATM card will work here (if you aren't sure or haven't used it in the US before), give them a call to let them know you'll be in the US & taking out larger chunks of cash so they don't suspect fraud and restrict your account.
Travellers checks are worthless, both at Coachella and most other places in the world.
At Coachella, bring cash, and an debit/credit card that's compatible with US banking systems. When traveling in general, cash plus a good debit card will get you much further than travellers checks ever will. If you're worried about safety and getting mugged and stuff, there are new check cards that you can load up with a specific amount of money and come with all the security benefits of an old fashioned travelers check without any of the annoyance.
Thanks everyone.
No travellers checks it is haha. I might look into those check cards. Thanks Courtney.
My debit card works in American Bank machines... however I read in another thread that the surcharge is $4 US in the machines inside Empire Polo field.
Is this true? Or was that an exaggeration?
If it is $4 I will just use my credit card.
You'll probably get hit with fees from the ATM & fees from your bank for using a foreign ATM. Not to mention fees for withdrawing in a foreign currency.
The fewer trips to the ATM you can make, the better.
