it's pretty good. the 4/4 kick drum is the album at it's worst. contact, moroder, touch and doin' in right are doin' it right.

This is an incredibly astute observation. Who would have thought a disco revival album would feel dated.

In 20 years that will be regarded as one of the best scored soundtrack's ever. I think it will also be much more appreciated as a respected work in the electronica world given the nature and pressure under which it was produced.

Guess I'll give it a listen while I wash dishes. Will it keep me awake. I have always hated disco so glad to hear it might not be all sparkle. cr****

You can see CR in this clip at the 48 second mark raising his hands in elation and running across to the left side of the screen.

Ironic & funny how Chicago was the stage & battlezone that attempted to kill disco but ended up becoming the House Music capitol of the United States.

Lolz on '68 ..... I wanted to not like the cd for some reason. They always put on a good show. First listen, sure I'll listen more. I sort of like it and gave it a 7. One review said they never heard a band trying NOT to sound like what was expected. One bad thing though, I also had it on in the background while watching some news at points. That might not be good. cr****

Just listened to it for the 4th time and I really like it.

I think it's interesting and fun, it's just not great all the way through. People's expectations were just way too high.

It was good, but not great. The final 30 second were the best part.

Motherboard is my favorite track on this thing.

Doin it Right and Contact are also quite good, and the album version of Get Lucky is much better than the radio edit.

I'm not feeling Within or Instant Crush, and the Paul Williams vocal on "Touch" makes me seriously cringe, but I don't mind the ragtime/vaudeville feel of that tune other than that.

The album is more of a grower than an instant gratification kind of experience.

I've listened to it 3.5 times now (2.5 today) and am in love with "Give Life Back to Music," "The Game of Love," and "Instant Crush." "Giorgio by Moroder" is growing on me but I'm still not wild about the interview aspect, although the ending of the song is fucking wild. I don't know if I'll ever like "Touch."

I was pretty busy at work both times I got to the second half of the album so I haven't even given those songs a fair shake yet, which bodes well for my appreciation of them if most people are saying they're the best part.

I'm liking it. On my 3rd listen now. It seems like a very fun album. Smooth too.

I love that they (DP) made it available on iTunes.

Hope to see them live sometime soon...

I listened last night. It was cheesy, but not necessarily in a way I liked. I need more listens. Get Lucky is ok.

When using your name, I obviously didn't mean that as an insult. TomAZ is a Daft Punk hater so he's an obvious "1" without even having to hear the album. Your board status is Daft Punky Junkie so I seen it was fitting as a passionate fan to give you the "10" spot. So sensitive.

No worries, it wasn't taken as an insult, and I've learned to turn my sensitivity meter off before I sign on here. I'm more concerned that your poll is now skewed due to the fact that, passionate or not, this album is a huge disappointment for me. Not exactly a good example of a 10 on your scale. The worst part is knowing that TomAz is snickering to himself as he's cooking up the crow I'll have to eat from this point on.

Nope. I haven't been able to even make it through the whole album, which is a far cry from someone who needed backup copies of some of their previous work and had plans to have a pyramid tattooed on my ass.
