Thread titles says it all
One of the best 'first listen' experiences I've ever had with an album
Edit: I'm now on Lose Yourself to Dance and really like it. I only heard a snippet of it earlier.
Another Daft Punk album, great guys, so glad you spent years making this:
Now would you please shut the fuck up with this boring crap and get back to mixing these tracks in with the rest of your catalog into something actually interesting, build a goddamn LED spaceship and get the fuck back on the road.
designating the highest rating as "Brokendoll" is so fitting.
First listen I'll give it a C+, so slightly above average. I like the fact that they are trying something different and for the most part pulling it off. I'm glad the album leaked because its definitely not worth my $10.99 or whatever they're charging for it.
I think that other thread lasted about 3 minutes.
I love it. 9/10

Incredibly underwhelmed by Julian Casablancas. Fragments of Time.. sadly makes a band like Phoenix sound technical, which is lulz. Get Lucky? Ears were begging to turn it off after the 500th "oop do bop do we doop get lucky". Pharrell? How the fuck do you weasel your irrelevant self into all this different shit? I must say I'm impressed in that regard. The song Contact's neverending-flying-through-space build up leads me to the conclusion that it doesnt count as music.. its more of whatever that Moby '13 set is called these days. Im srsly curious as to what the robots will be doing on stage, other than fist pumping, for the 5 minute ear-grinding outro of their new album?
Their live work makes their studio shit an absolute bore.
I rate it as high as your posting value.
Lose yourself to dance
Doin' it right
Fragments of time
Pssshhhh MA *****
This album is good
Except "the game of love"
On the second listen I just couldnt make it to the end of that track.
I'm about 7 songs in. Still waiting to hear the disco revival. Most of these songs are not good at all. The Moroder track is ok. Pretty much just sounds like a rehash of The Chase and I Feel Love. It's way way way way too heavy on the vocoder. The middle class should be disappointed. This isn't going to make anyone flash or grab tits.
I'm underwhelmed. I like "Get Lucky" but the rest is too cheesy.
Oh look it stopped snowing...
Who would've thought that Get Lucky would end up being the best song on the whole album?
I was going to give it a 7 until the last 2 songs. Those last two are incredible. The first half if the album is quite boring though
Arcade Fire 10/29 @ The Capital Building
Arcade Fire 10/31 @ The Palladium
Two Door Cinema Club 11/1 @ The Fox
Father John Misty 11/2 @ The Wiltern
Day of the Dead 11/2&3 @ LA Historic Park
The Head and the Heart 12/7 @ The Wiltern
Volcano Choir 1/18 @ The Fonda
Get Lucky is the only track remotely listenable, and only because I do like Chromeo, the sound is similar, indeed. The rest made me think of disco ala 1976 with some auto tune sprinkled in. Boring.. It made me want to shut my eyes and nap.
Props to DP for dropping the much awaited for new album that inspired "the drop" without ANY bass drops. Showing they are who they are, not following EDM/BS/shit trend and putting out music that is good and original.
However it does feel dated....But still great. 7.5/10
Also greatest man you are also a joke , only big on bravado and nothing to add to music convos ,your'e just an average Ahole meathead really. Relying on bullying to have fun. I think you fucking suck. Who likes you besides guedita who also is an an unfunny female meathead. Get married you worthless shitheads .
Spicy pie is mainstream shit.
So... All those billboards across the country...the Saturday Night Live teases... References on SOUTHPARK... This leak and that leak... All the hype and anticipation... Why?
They could have had their helmets tattooed on my ass, but noooo....
I'm listening to the TRON soundtrack instead...
