I don't know, I think it's perfectly reasonable that Plastikman would set up his sphere inside the Yuma tent.

    9/12: Shifted @ Mercer
    9/24 - 28: Decibel Festival
    10/3-5: Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival
    10/4: Ought @ BoH
10/5: The War on Drugs, Cass McCombs @ The Fillmore
    10/18-19: Treasure Island Music Festival

With their sound I would love to see them in Yuma or late night Mojave. hey so FUCK OFF

    1.) Your brain is defective.

2.) Digitalism, at worst, will play the Mojave Tent.

3.) Richie Hawtin performing as Richie Hawtin is a DJ set and that's why he fit in that tent at the time he played.

4.) Go fuck yourself, you benighted piece of cowplop.
10/8 - Little Dragon @ Marquee (Tempe, AZ)
10/11 - Carolina Chocolate Drops @ Rialto Theater (Tucson, AZ)
11/10 - The Black Keys @ US Airways Center (Phoenix, AZ)

It has been decided that the Yuma will not be returning for Coachella 2014. References on their way.

Also if in case chella actually reads these threads… YUMA needs a few exclusive pot-o-golds placed outside to avoid having to re-queue in.
plastikman in the yuma? with that logic, why doesn't uberzone put on a live performance when plastikman is finished? thinking is overrated.

Didn't see this thread before I made my own about seeing some real bass music in the Yuma this year. Would love to see Kryptic Minds take the unknowning citizens of Coachella into a bass-induced trance.

How many unknowing Coachellans are willing to endure that line, or cut in front of two hundred drugged hipsters to get inside? Those who know, know better.

Kryptic Minds would be a pretty rad booking. But I don't really ever see it happening.

Braaaaah. Dnt u thenk et myte wurk bettur en ah TENT? A fucking tent where everyone can walk up and enjoy the music? Or perhaps make Yuma a VIP ONLY stage so that people don't wait in line expecting to actually get in by a certain time?

The concept of Yuma is the same as having one spicy pie stand, one beer stand, and fifty merch booths. Creating an artificial demand by putting a capacity on a tent is only going to continue pissing people off. That, or make it a larger structure to accommodate all the assholes who want to see a certain set. There were people trying to get in to the better shows who didn't know who the act was, and pretty much just wanted to be inside this place with a long line coming from it.

It's bullshit. That any of you are talking about bringing it back sort of boggles the mind. The only way the Yuma deserves to come back is if it's the Dome, and it's open to everyone.

I wasn't suggesting Kryptic Minds would play the Yuma, or even that the Yuma should return next year. I was saying Kryptic Minds does't seem like something Tollet would have on his Coachella radar. Maybe in 2011...

If there's a line, that means the tent is already packed with unknowing Coachellans.

That's basically what it was last year.

I'm all for expanding the tent, but don't get rid of it. The sensory experience of walking from daylight into what felt like a big, air-conditioned underground rave (with a fat lineup) was really awesome. I agree with expanding it though, if it could fit another 250-500 I can't imagine there'd be too many lines.

The line may have been more intentional than you'd like. Go figure, a couple hundred or so people standing in line right in the middle of the food courts. No promotional intentions whatsoever, right? Make it large enough to hold everyone who wants to be at that show, or only play worthless sets in that tent so people don't feel screwed.

Why does everyone keep requesting Scuba for a DJ set in the Yuma. Would much rather have a live set in the Mojave.

    Scuba - 2/7
    Pusha T - 2/20

Yeah, Cassy into Hawtin weekend 2 was really something else.

For Yuma next year, I'd love to see Nicolas Jarr (and/or Darkside), Tale of Us, Jon Hopkins, Machinedrum, Andy Stott, and John Roberts. That'd make me really happy.
