I decided to get a half pulled pork sandwich as well as a classic blta. As I began eating the pulled pork the blta began peering at me begging me to unwrap it and nibble at its soft avocado and crispy bacon. As I began to switch to the blta the pulled prok sloppily spilled all over my lap begging me to continue with it, as this happened I realized what a terrible move I tried to pull(pun I guess intended). After this experience I thought I would be fine being a two sandwich man but the disdain and humility I saw in the pulled pork's delciousness made me realize, I can only have one sandwich and that sandwich is the blta. God do I love sanwichogomy.

Despite all the action the Sex Thread is getting today, this Sandwich tread is the only thing satisfying on this board today. That reflects poorly on all YOU.

Hey, since this is the sandwich thread, I may as well vent about one of my pet peeves. There is no such thing as "a panini". That would be the equivalent of saying "a sandwiches". The singular is panino, although the words biscotto, canollo, salame, all suffer the same fate here in 'murica.

Le Cafe in the Paris Hotel in Vegas... The ham, egg, and cheese sandwich. It's made open-faced on fresh (not even sure what kind, but it's orgasmic) bread. Cheese melted over the meat, with an over-easy egg on top. Best sandwich if my life. Life changing.
Sounds like a Croque Madame. A place here in Phoenix puts a slathering of bechamel sauce on it. Glorious.

If any of you get a chance to try a porchetta sandwich, you're in for a treat. Think of a roasted seasoned pork loin that is covered in herbs and garlic, covered by pork belly. The pork belly skin is crispy, and the fat of the belly forms a mayonnaise of sorts. Sliced porchetta, on crusty bread, nothing else. Fucking heaven.

    bakesake-bettys-1.jpg

Bakesale Betty's fried chicken sandwich in San Francisco is the bomb. The bread, the breading, and the jalapeno slaw are all fantastic... but the line is out the door.

The downside of Bakesale Betty is that they're stereotypically liberal about their foor prep - so they only make certain cookies on certain days, that kind of thing. Want strawberry shortcake? Tastes great... but they're only making oatmeal cookies today. Sorry. And they're closed Mondays.

    But a fuckin' good sandwich.

Trying to think outside the sandwich box here, so... Naked Lunch in SF has their signature Artisan Foie Gras Torchon & Duck Prosciutto Sandwich. Ridiculously good. Don't forget to wash it down with a glass of their cinnamon iced tea. Their menu changes daily and they also have a fried chicken sandwich.

Also, what that guy a few posts back said about people saying "a panini." It's a panino, dum dums

Craving a hot fried bologna and egg sandwich with a coffee right now.
    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

French Roll. I actually prefer Pastrami on Rye as it's usually served, but their Pastrami is really good.

I've lived in SoCal my whole life so kinda grew up eating it.
