Mangum in 2012 was amazing. This is another level. Just perfect.

i'd be surprised if they are not there in 2014. from pitchfork/billboard:

"People should know that they shouldn't get discouraged if they don't get tickets to these few shows," he said. "There will be some more fall shows announced soon and a much longer and fuller tour planned for 2014 that will span the globe." says their booking agent in an interview with billboard

NMH into Arcade Fire would be perfect. I wonder if 3 Coachella's later is too soon Arcade Fire to return though, the soonest so far was within 4 Chellas.

Why would this be perfect? How are these acts related in any way.

I think people tend to associate the two acts for a few reasons. First, a lot of people discovered In the Aeroplane Over the Sea (which was first reissued and wrote heavily about) at around the same time Funeral came out. Second, both acts were on Merge, and a lot of people scribbled about the perceived influence of NMH on Arcade Fire during the same 2004-05 period. Win may have even said a few positive things about NMH being an influence back then. Finally, there are surface-level similarities between the two albums: olde-timey instruments, baroque arrangements, an emotional and romanticized world view, etc., etc.

That said, I think the differences between the two bands are much larger than the similarities.

Why would you expect him to write anything reasonable?
