I used to sneak into Irvine meadows all the time for shows. I even snuck into a John Mayer show just to impress some chick. But this... you couldn't pay me to attend this.
I was actually there this afternoon picking up tickets from the box office (not for this). My stupid GPS navigated me into a housing development and I later realized that was where Wild Rivers used to be. I can't believe they tore down a fucking water park to build more houses. The parking lot feels empty now.
Edit. OK I just looked it up, Relocating to the Irvine Great Park I believe I read to be open in 2014. It supposed to be a bigger better water park. OK now that this is solved continue talking about this horrible line up.
I love Ke$ha! Solid double bill ^_^

And the crowd totally didn't understand the Chemical Brothers, everyone around me was complaining about electronic music and how it had no future. Such visionaries at that show.
It's was quite terrifying when I was in the restroom and song #2 came on and having a bunch of guys sing who hoo at the long urinal.
And the Dexter from the Offspring had everyone pick up all the garbage from the ground and throw it backwards, it was the most disgusting rain of garbage I've ever been in.
And finally Don Ho showed up and did a "Tiny Bubbles" sing-along because it was the Weenie Roast and Luau.
Not even Slash appearing with them made it any more interesting. The night ended with his drunk ass surfing on top of the audience and then asking for his necklace back (as it had fallen off of him) and some chick screeched into the mic "give him his necklace back!" What a weird end to an otherwise good night.
I know KROQ is way overplaying most of these bands but this is not a terrible lineup. other than AWOL and Silversun playing every KROQ show and Of monsters and Men being billed so high its not bad.
Surprise guest? I'm thinking either Queens of the Stone Age or Green Day
Where's C2C playing that night? C'mon LA/Hollywood promoters, get 'em!!
I'm hoping for panicz at the discoz, my chemical romancez, and the fall out boyz. Lets make it the cheesiest concert of the year
Certain songs they get so scratched into our souls
