Default Anyone else's phone get fried?

Charged my phone Friday morning with our neighbors portable battery, turned it off when it was fully charged and put it away in my bag in the car. Went back to grab it a few hours later and its fucked. Wont turn on, wont charge, wont do anything. I think the heat owned it, oh well. Thank God for phone insurance, new one coming in the mail tomorrow. Coachella heat is no joke.

it's not a moisture thing. the temps on saturday and sunday were enough to cause phones locked inside cars to heat up to the point of battery failure. mine gave me a critical temperature warning and shut off until I cooled it down between the grass and a can of beer for like two hours. same thing happened to at least a dozen other people I know.
so short answer- yes, yes it did happen to other people.

Sean's iPhone died, too. I think it was from charging in unusual places.

Never stick your plug into questionable sockets.
