Just how friendly is coachella?

Im just with my brother coming to this festival and the possible lack of alcohol may become a problem (18 & 20). Therefore I wanna make some friends.. not just so they can buy us alcohol but also cuz we'll obviously have a better time if we socalise with others aswell. Basically im asking people who have been before how friendly everyone seem to be.... if we do a meet and greet on the first night with the neighbours, will people be generally receptive? Where's the best place for making some mates (esp on thurs night)? Anything i could bring with me to offer to people to win them over? (Was thinking of something English...hmmmm english tea if it wasnt so damn warm lol)

everyone is friendly at coachella, you should have no problem finding alcohol all weekend, as for the festival itself there are numerous threads on sneaking in alcohol

let me put it this way: instead of going to coachella alone and enjoying some bands, I've made friends with at least 8 dudes or ladies, organized a scrabble tourney, and been placed on a welcoming committee. within like a week and two days. coachella is so friendly I could a'splode.

even though i go with friends, i almost always end up just traveling around alone or with one buddy. people are almost always friendly if you just strike up a conversation.

girls and stuff though - well, for me, coachella isn't all that "sexy." it's hot, it gets dirty, you get tired... it's more for fun and friends and good times. that's what i've seen for the most party anyway
