my first coachella was 2005. i was partying with a bunch of random people in the campgrounds and someone gave me a sip of their drink. long story short i woke up 4 days later in a barn with peaunut butter aftertaste in my mouth some old fat guy's tongue up my butt.

Funniest fucking thing I think I've ever seen was at Gogol Bordello when they played the mainstage in '08 (great fucking set, btw). My friend and I were enjoying the hell out of the set, right by the t-shaped railing thing that the artists can walk out in and there were a bunch of security there. Out of nowhere, a skinny dude in cargo shorts is suddenly being chased by security and he's somehow bolting through a pretty thick crowd when finally a security dude barely manages to nab him. Skinny dude is totally smiling and generally not being helpful to security, who clearly thinks he's the number one drug dealer in Indio or something. They take him back to the tee railing thing where they have some space (right in front of us) and start telling him to empty his pockets. Smiling, he refuses for a few minutes and security starts amping up the pressure on the dude. They're like on their radios and getting their gloves and shit to search him when he finally relents and reaches into his pockets.

And pulls out pistachios. And more pistachios. And more pistachios. I think this dude was surviving the entire weekend on pistachios. His pockets were like clown cars full of clown pistachios. I don't think I've ever seen so many pistachios in my whole life. He makes a massive pile of nuts right there in front of them. Not a single drug on him.

The entire fucking crowd laughed so hard at these dumb security guys who thought they had caught Pablo Escobar but had in fact had just found a nut.

Poor dude lost all his pistachios but went happily on his way, laughing at the fools.

I was near the front for beach house today, and some shirtless dude who was definitely on X, on the 2nd to last song just sprints through to the front pushing aside all the people who are just sort of standing there watching and starts fist pumping as hard as he can to beach house and doing like trance hands.. i couldn't stop laughing, made it so good to see someone actually just really get into it and freak out over it

In the parking lot, one dude stole every cone he could and piled them on his car making it a moving traffic cone forest.

A dude so eager to cut me off he rear-ended the car in front of me. Ass.

Some people so frustrated that staff was allowing one line to go and no one else to go that he stole several cones and put them in front of the line being allowed to exit.

Saw a volunteer driving a rhino around the general store in the campgrounds on Saturday trying to manuver out of the crowds and while he was backing up its like the gas pedal stuck and he ran three guys completly over. All of them had to get ambulanced out. Way to have your weekend instantly ended

This years highlight of fucked up had to be while waiting for thom yorke, me and my group all sitting in the front as we waited and some guy standing next to us just completely od'd and starting vomitting and had a seizure. Fortunately for him, 2 guys helped him and his friend bail out. I mean they probably had to clear from the front of the outdoor stage to the first aid tent or somewhere NOT close or easily accessible.

BTW I was camped in the exact center of Sahara on the metal gate from Aeroplane til around halfway through Deadmau5.

my buddy went to the portapotties before bed, and proceeded to open the first door he found with a "green" mark near the handle..

inside there was a girl in a banana suit shitting her brains out (he knew this because it was apparently very audible)

he screamed... then she screamed... he closed the door and went to the next available portapotty

On Friday, after Vampire Weekend in the field for the Outdoor by the second set of speakers, I was sitting by the mid-field barrier doing some texting when a girl around 18 yrs of age or so (I guess what we are calling a "hipster" 'round here) promptly walked by me, stopped about 4 ft away, dropped her pants, squatted, and began trying to pee. It took me a minute to even pull it together enough to realize this girl's naked ass was basically in my face. I tried to play it off but after she struggled for me a minute to make anything come out, I finally said "the bathrooms aren't that far from here". She ignored me. Suddenly her boyfriend (assuming that's what he was) came over and stood over her while she tried to complete the act. Eventually I walked away having seen enough (seen it all?). Seriously girl- WTF???

On Sunday over in the beer tent by the Mojave, I was sitting having a beer by the smokers tent when I saw a boy/girl couple having an argument. Fascinated, I watched while this girl basically brow beat this guy, pointing her finger into him and really letting him have it. Then she turned her back on him and strarted wolfing down a big piece of pizza she had with her. The guy, staring at the back of her head now, began rocking ack and forth and then started crying. So the scene, for a couple of minutes, was this guy crying and shaking his head while his girlfriend stood their eating pizza. I said "Dude, dump the biatch! There's plenty in the sea!" but I don't think he heard- too upset! /shrug

Saw more than one person this year climb to the top of the PA systems or the Crane (the art installation) and start swinging wildly around them holding on with one hand. I could barely watch - I was just waiting for one of them to fall and land on their heads and either die or become paralyzed in the middle of the crowd. Thankfully that didn't happen.

- I was waiting in line for a port-o-potty, and right as it was my turn, some chick cuts me off cause she wants to pee next to her friend. So I'm like okay whatever, but her friend comes out way earlier than she does, and when she does come out, and I go for the door, she says, "It's gross". So I'm like okay whatever, but I get in there and what the fuck. Ahhhhhh I'm quivering just remembering the sight... It was not only diarrhea like a motherfuck but a punch of red... shit... too?? I don't know what the fuck it was.. it wasn't blood it was just.. fuck. And not only that but I come to see that there was no more TP left, and that there was a shit-covered cardboard toilet paper tube in the mess as well. Wish I'd never looked in there. Glad I got to share the memory though.

Ugh- porta potta stories! Those are always the worst. Didn't have one this year but in '97 when I went to Ozz Fest (first and last time) I entered a porta-pottie where, like quicksand, I saw just... something. A combination of blood, shiat, and there was what I think was pink colored puke everywhere. Ya know what? Still remember it vividly to this day. Welcome to my world quicksand!

some dude attempted to get his car out of the parking lot without having to back up into the line of cars behind him. he tried driving it over the small berm between him and the road in front of him and ended up stuck on it. his front tires weren't touching the ground and he was just sort of standing there staring at it. i lol'd.
