It boggles the mind that they were HERE in America for Ultra with all their peoples and gear and did NOT venture out to a few more cities. I understand it costs money and it's cheaper for DJ sets, but this is sum shit.

It boggles the mind that the board's biggest basement jaxx fan was in the same state when they were here for Ultra with all their peoples and gear and did not venture out for it.

    OOH gurl.
You KNOW i didn't have 300-400 bucks for that damn ultra fest. Them selling ONLY 3 day passes was fucked, and money is tight at the moment.

I'm a HUGE jaxx fan. Not huge enough to shell out that kind of money for a short set.

Be that as it may, yes, I was extremely bummed I couldn't be there. It's been in the ultra thread, I'm sure.

Regardless if it it's in florida or not, they still need to do a mini LIVE tour in North America.

    Bitch.

Maybe once the new album is out, they may swing back around after the usual European festival circuit . Maybe in time for coachella 2015.
    ...
They're really not coming, are they?

Please don't ever post Basement Jaxx and Cut copy in the same sentence again. You're talking about a band who plays a backing track for most of the show. I mean, one of the dudes stands there with a guitar around his neck and spends most of the time not playing it. Go figure.

New lolzy video for "Never Say Never", featuring the Twerk-bot

Also, for whatever reason, they were on Loveline with Dr Drew a week or so ago when they were here in the states.

I haven't had a chance to listen to it except the opener, Power To The People.

I wish it was more like the live version, which is much funkier and soulful (rather lighter sound of the album track).

Here it is live! More oomph

Felix did an AMA on reddit tonight. Regarding stateside shows:

Your live shows are that of legend here in the US. Do you sometime regret making it so big that it hinders your ability to take it on the road?
Coachella needs some Basement Jaxx LIVE this year!

We don't have to make the live show as big as it is-but we want to, cos it's better like that. Yes, we would love to be at Coachella. We loved it last time.. But we haven't been invited because "we're not a hot enough act" at the moment

Will you guys ever bring the live show back to the states for a small tour? Miami this year was great, but a few more cities of shows (non DJ sets) is something a lot of us here in America want to experience. Seems the rest of the world gets the live sets, haha!

it's all about the costs of putting it on-we have to get enough people to cover the costs-i'm quite happy to make no profit..but it's still expensive to do a live show-i'm looking forward to doing the Hollywood Bowl again,Central Park New York,Red Rocks..out in the sticks too

Are you suggesting that Cut Copy is somehow a high quality act that is beyond criticism?
