    Default Father John Misty hologram

FJM was absolutely hilarious. I love everything about this guy.
His banter between songs had the crowd cracking up. 2nd favorite Sunday set behind OMD.
Week 2, get on that shit.

They came off as a for chicks band. All the women in the audience were going nuts for them, and it seemed all the guys were there only because their girlfriends/wives wanted to see them.

Yes, I'm a chick. But this guy is hilarious. I'm really not into his genre, but he's great at what he does. I just fell in love with Hollywood Cemetery. My guy found him entertaining too. Awesome show! He makes you smile.

I laughed so hard when he introduced R. Kelly as a guest artist. FJM was absolutely wonderful (but I'm just a girl too )

Please please please! His set was amazing. His album is one of my favorites in recent memory, and him and his band sounded unreal live. Hilarious banter (Fuck you, Sauron!), huge stage presence, spot-on harmonies, perfect instrumentation. And this is coming from a guy, who's girlfriend chose to see Pretty Lights instead. Is that weird?

Disagree completely. I was there grooving; my gf has no idea who FJM is.

I've been a fan of J. Tillman for years, but that set was still a million times better than I ever thought it would have been. Best surprise set, and easily in my top 10 of the weekend.

My wife and daughters were bopping to Vampire Weekend. I bailed on them but not soon enough and regret not catching the entire set. What I saw/heard was amazing.

This was easily my favorite set of the weekend, but I was already looking forward to it and I love the CD. His in-between song banter was so funny and entertaining.

Nothing creative or funny about a hologram joke.
Superfan will be in front of the Fonda masturbating furiously to a photo of him taking a photo of a band. Set is from 8:05 to approximately 8:05:15. Guest list only.

Upcoming Shows: Marques Wyatt - UCLA, Paul Mccartney - Dodger Stadium, Yes - Greek Theater, Herbie Hancock - Hollywood Bowl, NIN/Soundgarden - Hollywood Bowl, Cut Chemist/Dj Shadow - Palladium, Massive Attack SB Bowl

it began as a hologram joke and morphed into a j tillman android joke.

' The real J Tillman is sitting in a bar in LA, drinking'.. or something like that.

I really wish I could have snapped a photo of some of the faces he was making last night. He would ask the cameraman to get a close up of his face and then he was imitating ugly faces that girls make when they are walking around the polo fields.. you had to be there I'm sure, but it was hilarious

Such a great set and entertainer! His bit about pouty-faced girls wearing flowers in their hair was perfectly stated. He was one of my favorite sets of the week.

When he ran in front of the stage Weekend 2, he shook my hand. His hand was so cold and clammy. His voice and band are really country style, but I'm not sure he could go mainstream country with his sense of humor. I enjoyed 100% of his set.

I also got a kick out of his guitar player in drag - sequin pants and red lipstick.

Yeah, FJM is probably the closest I've come to enjoying country music.

Father John Misty is a band I would not put their album on at home but would like to see live.It was a set at SS Coachella I just went to see because I was bored and ended up loving that set I saw greatly.I think Boourns was the one who said I had to see him. Thanks again about that recommendation.

I'm pretty much the same way. I like their album but it's way too laidback/country vibes for me to play regularly; live though, they sound great.
