Remember last years "Orb" show? Well, the LA Phil Harmonic & Disney Concert Hall are at it again! (I apologize if this has been reported somewhere else already. My friend just sent me the link)

i went and saw brian wilson perform "smile" there and it was amazing. the acoustics blow my mind, hearing a whispered conversation on the other side of the room?!

The Orb show was awesome. Since it went on all night, there was plenty of opportunity to explore Disney Hall from top to bottom (although if you want to be able to for this show, buy now so you can have Orchestra tickets). The building sounds excellent from every where. i never put pictures on the internets (maybe i will), but here is a clip of Dr. Alex mixing in some Midnight Cowboy.

Damn. It had like J-Rocc, Peanut Butter Wolf, Madlib, Wildchild, Percee P, and a bunch of others I don't remember. Madlib had to drop off last minute so Talib Kweli stepped in for him. People were pretty pissed cause I guess Madlib > Talib.

I am sad I missed it. And am very sad I'm probably going to have to miss this showcase as I'll most likely still be working nights. I'm going to do my best to work something out though.
