Wow, 12 step meetings at Coachella, who knew? SOBERCHELLA.COM
I'm a reasonable man, get off my case....
Kendrick with a band was pretty good
Wiz is the Bieber of rap.
What was the gist of his rant? Before what song? Will seek it out on youtube if it will be easy to find.
There's the full set out there, around the 36:15 mark or something he tells a girl she can stay on her boyfriend's shoulders, tells the security to "knock it off" and "fuck off", exclaims this is Philadelphia and everyone's here to have a good time, asks if this is "your fucking parents house", tells security to "shove the rule book up your ass", and exclaims "let's fucking party". All in the middle of Make It Wit Chu.
Sound Cloud - The Strombo Show w/ QOTSA Sept 15, 2013"He [Jay Z] has his security frisking the bands on the way in. I just told them, 'If you open up my bag, I’m not playing, so I guess it’s up to you whether we are playing or not.' The idea they frisked all my guys, means you’re in some different place, no-one has ever done that [to me]... He also gave us some champagne and wanted us to take a photo with it. And I thought that’s not a gift that is a marketing tool. So I destroyed it. Because I thought it was rude overall. And you shouldn’t frisk my guys, you should fuck off."
He really does sound like an asshole here. White dude all offended about being frisked once. Live a day in a black guys shoes dick. Then he really bitches about a gifted bottle of champagne? If Jay-Z ran around being a dick all the time we would have learned about it long before Homme decided it was some fact we've all missed out on.
Heard about this on the radio on the way home
Might be on hold?
and FYF is the week before, no conflict at all. Different locations too.
Just seems crazy they would close down the streets around City Hall for up to 10 days for a music festival. That area is fucked to begin with.
Yeah, cause Jay Z AND live Nation were totally gonna take booking Beyonce away from fyf. Were there not 3 events last year at State Historic Park, in the month of August? HARD, Fyf and that other dumb one with Pitbull? Was there any crossover? Ok then. Keep in mind that fyf is in more of a bind booking wise due to Reading and Leeds being the same weekend as fyf. Last year, Made in America had some acts that performed there the week before.

Doubt it, gv and fyf probably already locked down who they wanted for fyf before live nation and co really had an inkling to do the fest over here. Also, the hold reason this is in limbo, is certain politicians wants some more money out of the festival.
Looks like it's officially approved and Garcetti is making an announcement tomorrow. This is spitting in the faces of everybody that lives downtown. i'm just glad that I live just far enough east that i can access freeways and drive around without having to drive right through downtown. It'll be really interesting to see what the line up and ticket prices are though.
6/15/14 Failure - Glasshouse // 7/9/14 Cloud Nothings/Metz - Roxy
7/16/14 Planes Mistaken For Stars - Echo // 8/23-24/14 FYF Fest - Expo Park //8/25/14 Nine Inch Nails - Hollywood Bowl // 9/12-14/14 Riotfest - Humboldt Park, Chicago, IL

Also, with the story saying that no talent has been booked yet, what concern should there be in the FYF camp at this point? They did say their announcement will be Mid May, like last year. Im sure its all sorted out, and anyone attempting to swing the other way wouldnt be able to.
