Getting ready to leave! About to pack, get a couple hours of sleep, then head off to the airport. See you guys all Friday at the buffet! Do we need to make reservations or anything? I know I will be there with Paul B + 3 others, we also have faxman +1, concertgoer (+?), heart cooks brain (+?)... anyone else?

I might join you guys if you don't mind. That is, if I don't sleep in.

It's hard to read past posts I'm accessing this on my phone .

The hotel clerk just told me day drinking is the best attraction in Ashville.

What a 1st day. It was awesome meeting up at ABC with the pizza and ice cream buffet! That Mountain Oasis Electric Pale Ale is one delicious beer.

Neutral Milk Hotel sounded so perfect last night! What a great sounding auditorium! Im so pumped for Zola Jesus tonight!

What a fantastic festival so far. Asheville is a totally rad city. The festival is super well organized and every single person I have met and talked to has been great. Not a single bad set so far either. Loving it here.

Most important thing for me at a fest is the sound and both the sound at the arena and the theater were fantastic!

Chromatics fucking killed it today. In fact, all of the acts I was able to see killed it (Zola Jesus, Chromatics, Animal Collective, Nine Inch Nails, Godspeed). Very pleased with this festival.

Zola Jesus was fantastic! Nine Inch Nails sounded great in the arena, same with Bosnian Rainbows, Gary Numan, Godspeed. Great day of music with great people. Asheville truly is an awesome place. Tonight is going to be quite a dance party!

Well that was a fantastic weekend. It was nice to meet Paul and Rage and I am sorry that I didn't get a chance to meet the other boarders that were at the festival.

I'm glad that everyone had a good time. It was a great festival and Asheville is such a cool city. My stand-out sets were Purity Ring, Deltron 3030 (loved their rendition of "Clint Eastwood"), Neutral Milk Hotel (got a little choked up), GY!BE (loved that they closed with "East Hastings"), Nine Inch Nails, and Mount Kimbie. My only regret is missing Gary Numan.

I probably gained twenty pounds from all of the delicious food and craft beer I consumed everywhere I turned.

What a killer weekend. Had so much fun. Great meeting heart cooks brain and tickle me elmo. Had a great time hanging out with Eric, Josh, Becky, Jenny and Paul too. Saw a black bear in a neighbors tree. Airbnb place was perfectly located, the city is to fucking die for. Loved Asheville. Even got to explore a local dentist office while I was there lol. Checked out the Biltmore on the last day but just did the wine tour, tastings and a fancy yummy dinner. I would like to do this fest again next year.

    Top 6 for me.

    NIN
    autre ne veut
    Disclosure
    Neutral Milk Hotel
    Godspeed You!
    Deltron3030 w/ orchestra

honroable mention to Ulrich Schnauss. I left early for Disclosure and can't wait to see him again.
It was pretty great to play around with some synths too and see the moog represented all weekend and even coming through last minute for Neutral Milk Hotel by supplying them with a moog after theirs broke last minute.

One reason I need to go back is to explore more belgian beers and drink at the belgian bar downstairs of the Thirsty Monk.

Well said Faxy. What a great weekend indeed! I think I could get used to going to festivals that start at 7pm... having that extra time to explore beautiful Asheville, drink amazing beers, explore MOOG museums and get to play with a bunch of neat devices and try a theremin for the 1st time was a unique highlight. It was great seeing everyone again, and meeting Heart Cooks Brain, Tickle Me Elmo, Concertgoer... great people. The music all weekend was fantastic, my top acts for the weekend had to be Neutral Milk Hotel, Nine Inch Nails, Cut Copy, Zola Jesus & Godspeed.

Also bummed that I missed autre ne veut since I heard good things, but Jessie Ware killed it so I am ok that decision.

I knew he was going to be performing Nocturnes and I thought it was interesting but I certainly saw quite a bit of people leave his set. Highlight of the weekend was definitely Neutral Milk Hotel. If (and when) they play Coachella next year, I would HIGHLY recommend. It was great meeting Josh, Becky, Paul, Jenny, Mark and Eric too, thanks guys. Depending on the lineup, I would love to go again next year and I'm interested to see what Moogfest brings also.
