I am undecided on the Brother Ali. My fantatiscm has faded. He has great songs but I'm not sure the albums hold up.

I'd really like to hear the CocoRosie but I don't know the first two records well enough to justify it to myself.

I've never bought a Bright Eyes record. I've liked a lot of his stuff but not followed through.

I'm not a huge Blonde Redhead fan. Yet.

i didnt see a whole lot that i am going to pick up since i got a new pc over the weekend ... but what did crack me up, if you go to the movies section of bestbuy, they have the "Warner Mega Classics" almost 200 dvds at a paltry price of GET THIS, $3,607.00, and its a steal because list is $4243.00 .. never seen anything like that at bestbuy .... cr******

ah man! this bright eyes cd. has a secret decoder. you hold this little window up to the CD cover and there are hidden messages and images. this is bad for my OCD though, because now i have to comb the entire front, back, inside, etc etc.

it's more subtle than that. a lot of suns and moons and birds and coffins and hands holding symbolic items.

the messages include:

"These myths are sacred and profane!"

"Swollen saints bathing in a backward river under a sliver of a moon"

"Dog faced apologists pleasing themselves on the burning sand"

also something written backwards and something in spanish.
