How strict is security with checking ID's for car camping

I'm buying a car camping pass + switching passes with someone. Will it be a problem if the person I'm buying from is not present?

Get a copy of their Id, just in case. It shouldn't be an issue though, if you have the wristband and camping pass from the same order

That's like asking how strict are cops are in issuing speeding tickets when you drive 72 mph in a 65 mph zone. They could be chill and be fine with just the original wristband being present and scanned with the camping pass from the same order. They could also go by the books and demand that the original purchaser be present. In most cases they will be fine with just the original wristband being there, but the by-the-book rules state it's the original purchaser and ID, and if they deny you, that's the risk you take for not following the rules.

My sister will still be 17 when we go .

I turned 18 just before Coachella last year, and they didn't check my ID.
