    Default It's Raining Iconic Venues in Hollywood.

    The Key Club is closing it's door, they hope to reopen next February. I saw a shit load of really good shows at this venue in my high school years.

    Key Club Closing

    The Key Club, a Sunset Strip favorite for decades, is scheduled to close later this month.

    Though the club's ownership could not be reached for comment, its last show is slated for March 14, and sources behind various events held there confirmed its impending demise

    Weird. I thought they closed back in 2006 or something like that. I hadn't heard of a single show going on there in years.

    Damn, I'm glad I got to see something at this venue before it went away. (Common Rotation in 2005 during an Angel/Firefly convention I was working at lol)

    Best venue on the strip, oddly booked a ton of great brutal metal shows. They have had a history of weird management/ownership issues though.

    RIP. I work near the Key Club and forget about it all the time, but I just saw this video of Method Man & Redman performing Da Rockwilder there over the weekend so it seems appropriate to share.

    Last show I saw there was HARD "Bromance" tour. I like the spot, except for the stairs in the middle of the venue. This place and the Roxy were both better in my 20s. RIP.

    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon
