It's funny how Thom gets rather annoyed by things such as people moving around too much or talking excessively, but he never tells the fucking idiots directly in front of him to put down their god damn cameras for at least half of the show so they can attempt to enjoy something? I would find cameras being pointed directly at me for the entirety of a show even more annoying than talking.

I wouldn't. The talking is fucking annoying. Why are people in LA so disrespectful? I had this problem at HTDA and Bjork too. I always try to remain as quiet as possible until the song is over. And I sway a lot.

People in LA do things to be a part of a social environment, as shallow as it fucking is you cant avoid that shit out here... People are planning where to go next, how much time they have, should they grab more drinks, etc... It is very disrespectful to the act that's on the stage, but all bands know that coming in. I would hate to hear people talking as well but would fucking detest a shit ton of iphones and handhelds being pointed directly at me for an entire show, get your fill of one or two songs and fucking have some fun, good god.

Suprefan telling this shit head to "SHUT THE FUCK UP!" during Untitled #9 was great during the cemetery show.

EDIT* The crowd actually wasn't too bad for that gig.

    LA: Great shows, terrible crowds.

    You can't have it all.

Because of the setting at the Cemetery (picnic baskets, food, alcohol, lawn chairs, blankets, etc...) being allowed there usually isn't a single issue with crowds at those shows, very very relaxed.

Except the ONE TIME that mattered.

Other than that, The Cemetery is very laid back and fun.

this bothers me in SF a lot too. I cannot understand why seeing a $12 repeatable movie is completely sacred, while a $20 - $50 live performance is something you can chatter the whole way through. though I'm sure alcohol has a lot to do with it. I'm glad to hear Thom called them out. assholes.

the filming is less intrusive to those around you. but not completely unintrusive. at least it has some value, assuming the person has a good camera.

when i saw radiohead at lolla in '08 he actually made mention of how dead the crowd was and we were allowed to wake up. i was near the front (not suprefan front, but front of 75000) and people were honestly in awe.

Spooks, don't you imagine that anyone who possibly cares about this information would already have looked it up?

I don't mean this in the supre "omg you're so late in posting this old news!" sense, but rather in the "does anyone actually care what Radiohead b-sides Atoms for Peace played in the encore at a European concert two nights ago?" sense.

Seriously? We're gonna do the whole "post a setlist of every show" for this band/thread too? Fuck that. Doing it for Radiohead was bad enough. This is not gonna fly.

Won't you do the same thing when the Arcade Fuckin Fire starts touring again? I only posted the setlist b/c someone uploaded the full show. Cry me a river!

    Two things:

    1) for the Arcade Fire equivalency to work in this scenario, I'd actually have to post the setlists of a Win Butler-led sideproject that plays the same dozen or so songs every night, anyway.

    2) no, with the exception of the first night or something unusual happening, I'm not going to post Arcade Fire setlists here.
