My friends and I are going to Coachella for the first time this year, so we're staying a full 5 days from Thursday-Monday. Any ideas on what to do around the area on Monday while we cool down from all of the extravagant events of Coachella?

Eat a decent meal.
Do not be alarmed when you start puking blood, excessive amounts of blow and spicy pie have been known to cause this.
Good Answers, I believe we're hoping with survival with our brains intact and smiles plastered on.
Get into the nearest bed, smoke a bowl, and take a long nap. You will most likely be sore =)
Just get a kick as meal, some sleep, and just remember how awesome that weekend was..

Learn it. Know it. Live it.
Where can a "kick ass meal" be had in and around the area? I've eaten at the diner in Indio and at the casino but there was nothing there to rave about. Have I been missing out on some gem? Is there anything in Palm Springs that's worth driving 20 min in the opposite direction of where we're headed? Also, I have an In n Out Burger within a mile of my place back at home so I'm not sure if that'll really hit the spot.
Couple years ago during Baconalia, A trip to Denny's was out of this world. I shit for like half an hour, and plowed something like 12 pancakes. and 2 orders of eggs. Then the realization hit me. Its over for another year....
Yeah honestly, after a weekend at the Polo Grounds, something greasy and really filling will hit the spot. In n Out has always been what I crave the Monday after, but that's just me.

Hahah, I created this post while logged into my friend's account. My group threw Soak City out of the window, yet I think that might be fun. Yet I feel like I'm going to end up yelping everything if I'm not begging for my own warm bed by the time all the fun is over. Great posts everyone!
Theres a Five Guys (burger place people like to compare to In-N-Out) in La Quinta and one at the River in Rancho Mirage. The River is a resturant/shopping center that has resturants such as Yardhouse, Cheese Cake Factory, PF Changs, Babes and Aqua Pazza.
In Palm Springs i like to go to LuLus Bistro (similar to Aqua Pazza), NYPD for New York syle pizza (its also connected to a bar), Matchbox (pizza/bar), Elmers (diner), Tylers(burgers) and my all time favorite place is Pinocchio (diner, bar & gay friendly). Pinocchio's has great food and large portions at such great prices. I love to get their bottomless champagne....but get there early because there is usually a wait and they close at 2pm.

If you have the time, I highly suggest booking a room at a nice hotel for Sunday or Monday night. Trust me, after a weekend of non-stop partying and jumping around, a chill day of R&R is all you want.
I usually camp, but getting off the field and checked into a hotel with comfy beds, good room service and possibly an appointment at the spa is the best idea I've ever had post-Coachella. I live in Utah and I love making a pit stop in Vegas to stay at the Hard Rock Hotel for a couple nights. The first day is spent sleeping, and yes, gorging ourselves, and the second day to reminisce with other obvious fellow fest goers at the hotel pool over drinks. It's a blast, and though a little pricey, money well spent. Palm Springs room rates drop dramatically that Monday, and there's quite a few nice places to eat. I really liked Hotel Zoso; very glam for not that glammy of a price.
Besides, it's always a kick to just veg in your room and watch the entertainment channels cover the festival you just went to.

Leave at sunset on Monday. It's a great feeling.
Whiskey Sour
2 oz blended whiskey
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 tsp powdered sugar
1 cherry
1/2 slice lemon
Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.
Monday - sleep in!
Breakfast in Palm Springs at "Shermans Deli (unbelievable desert case all long with big portions)", "Bit of Country (largest and best tasting sausage patty in the world)" or the fancier "Rock Garden ( for the more upscale inclined wanting a unique variety of dishes with nice outdoor seating)"
Then take the Palm Springs Aerial Tram to the top of the mountain and enjoy a leisurely hike away from the crowds and smoke a bowl and look forward to next year.
