I've been to ROTR more than 10 times. I started going when I was 17 (twenty years ago). I'm glad that most of the drama and politics seem to be over and that it is moving back to it's original site at French's Camp. They are only selling 6,000 tix to the public, so it should it be a great, intimate vibe. One of the reasons that it got so out of hand (other than the mass quantities of hard drugs that were readily available) was that 20 + thousand people in that space was too many. If you are a reggae fan, this is THE festival on the West Coast to attend. I would love to make it back this year, but not sure how possible as the dates coincide directly with when I have to go back to work.

*EDIT: Not sure how it will be now, but this WAS the quintessential festival vibe with complete freedom to do or be whatever you'd like. Which, of course, was also what lead to the festival's downfall. Hopefully it's back on track now.
