The new album is a kind of a snoozefest. I was hoping that I might be able to listen to it while I was working out, but that is defintely not going to happen. The xx into these guys is going to be a total bore.

Hard to imagine that they failed to convert a guy who has been a major detractor, started the "Phoenix v Cheetos" thread.

Does anyone else think that there's something off about the leaked version that's out there? I don't know how to put this exactly, but the production sounds...odd.

It's a transcode, and a reasonably bad one at that.

Didn't really like it at first but it's growing on me. Really wish this was better quality, but fuck I mean it's hard to complain when it's out this early. Still just as excited to see them as I was originally.

I like the album. The first half is pretty hit or miss, but the second half is amazing. "Bankrupt" through to the end is fantastic.

Yesterday, my media player kept shuffling between the first half of the album - I think that is why I thought it was pretty weak. I still haven't made it through the entire album, even though I've given it serveral tries today.

So I just got an email from Ticketmaster. Their Wed show prior to Coachella is apparently being cancelled. There goes my brilliant plan to avoid the inevitable Sat conflict cluster (and to see Phoenix in an ideal venue).

So after giving this album 5 listens I am quite a fan. I would give it a 8/10, however, I do think the weakest track is entertainment which is funny that that was the track they found worthy of the first single. Also I am hoping they now open their set with bankrupt, I think it would be a solid track to start the show.

finding the rip was challenging, but took this guy I know about 10 mins.

    He searched pb rar site:zippyshare.com
downloaded the rar, realized it was password protected
copied the url of the zippyshare page
    searched for it in google
found the mexican music facebook page it was posted on
scrolled down to the date the rar was uploaded
    found the "senha"
    unrared
    imported into itunes

    That sucks!

I listened to the new album for the first time yesterday, and I am really digging the song Bankrupt so far.

Love Phoenix, can't wait for this set! They aren't your typical headliner, I guess, but just don't go if you don't like them. Why waste time bitching about it??

I'm also hoping for a PM as well if anyone would be so kind. Thanks in advance!
