Weekend differences

i just noticed on the main page if you click between the two weekends that it switches Blur and Stone Roses list spots on the poster. No big deal of course, and not reflective of actual set times other than the fact that they are both headlining, but it got me wondering....

For people who have gone both weekends or compared stories/videos etc.. are there any noticeable differences in the sets between the two weekends? are the artists more or less entertaining/energetic? the crowd? are there any lineup/schedule changes? it's crazy to think that all of those bands can make the two week commitment without something going wrong, being a musician myself and being very familiar with mr. murphy and his laws.
obviously the grass is all gone be WE2, but what are some of the other noticeable differences? just curious.

do they fix any issues they may find with the festival as a whole during WE1?

there really are not any kinks to work out between the weekends, this isn't a new festival they worked the kinks out in 09.

these bands are on tour and they do the same show every other night basically, it really makes no difference to the artist you would think. Last year only noticeable difference was weather.

If it is a bands first live show like how to destroy angels they personally make have some kinks to work out.

Last year, there were tens of thousands of different people at each weekend. Does that count?

yeah im not talking about say performance quality-wise, but do they mix setlists up as bands are wont to do or do they keep it pretty consistent? in a way, if i were playing, id like to vary it, but in a way it wouldnt really be fair either to the fans.

and wtf is this about how to destroy angels being their first live show? ive never heard them, but seriously? how does this happen?

also, for those who have been since it was one weekend only, have you noticed a dramatic attendance drop per weekend or is it a if-you-book-them-they-will-come type of deal?

It's there first live show, it's Trent Reznor from Nine Inch Nails other project hence the ability to be so high on the lineup and be playing their first show

Also the setlists do vary a little bit, especially for those bands with larger catalogs of music (radiohead had a much better set second weekend than first weekend imo, but that was because they happened to play Kid A and Exit Music which really pushed it into amazingness for me, most of it was the same though)

pretty much this. the only difference in attendance i noticed was friday weekend 1 but that was because of the cold weather and rain which MANY people weren't prepared for at all. once the sun came out the next day i'd say both weekends were business as usual. both weekends sold out so in theory it was the same amount of people.

Apparently Justice had some technical difficulties on weekend 1 last year and came on super late. But their weekend 2 set didn't have any problems.

So you could say that they have time to work out some kinks. But I wouldn't dwell on that too much, since there's no way of knowing what might go wrong. I'm sure they have a whole new set of problems once weekend 2 rolls around.

Justice had never plugged their controllers in before coachellla weekend 1. that was the kink.

Zack de la Rocha was with DJ Shadow for weekend 1 but not weekend 2. So glad I was there for that. It was pretty awesome.

honestly i enjoyed Friday's weather. It was something new for me at coachella after 4 years. There was hardly anyone there and it made for cool pictures. I danced hard and never broke a sweat.
