Wet snow + 50 mph gusts = downed power lines.

Hope for the best, expect the worst.

We got about 8 inches here in Hell's Kitchen; it's still coming down but just barely. We walked up to and around Central Park this morning; there it looks more like 10-12 inches.

It was fantastic watching the dogs bound and wrestle and be so happy.

    Full set.

Biggie would like to come in now. Not much of a powder hound, this one.

Got about 30 inches or so up here in ME. Hard to tell exactly though because its so windy; some bare patches and some six foot drifts.

Mount, your pictures make me miss the city soooo much. It's the best after a good snow. So quiet, so clean.

Yeah, it was great to see. The streets and avenues were fairly empty, too.

Snow accumulation totals (that I stole from a post elsewhere)

Portland, ME: 32 inches (most ever in a single storm)
Boston, MA: 25 inches (5th highest)
    Providence, RI: 19.5 inches
    Cumberland RI: 24 inches
    New Haven, CT: 34 inches
Islip, NY (Long Island): 31 inches

    Most:

Hamden CT (just north of New Haven) with a single storm total of 40 inches!

My Uncle lives outside of Hartford. He texted me that he felt like Andy Dufresne tunneling out of his driveway.

Lol. Yeah. The city my parents live in was recorded at 36". You don't want to leave that much snow on the roof.
