I'd like to see foals get the outdoor stage at sunset
I love Foals but they are in no way too big for The Mojave.
I think the 10:55 slot is honestly perfect for Foals too. During the headliners in Mojave seems sensible based on their position in the poster.
The poster on the the official website just flipped Blur into the left spot... Goldenvoice is once more fucking with us.
It's only in the left side on the Weekend 2 site.
i will say though that when foals played in 2011 (?) i came to the mojave 5 min in to their set and could not even squeeze in the back to find a spot. it was so incredibly packed that i gave up on their entire set. so i personally think that foals are big enough to overflow the mojave. also i am really surprised to see bassnectar and four tet conflicting? really seems like a crossover audience. both of those conflict with stone roses too, which isn't crossover necessarily but definitely makes me a bit sad
It really sucks that Foals never lived up to the promise of "Mathletics."
Shit this day is just way too stacked for me. Like, Metric, Passion Pit, Of Monsters and Men, and Japandroids...this is never going to work for me even for real set times haha
This day works out well so damn for me now. I get to see at least half a set for every band I'm intersted in. Hopefully your prediction is close!
One small note - I don't think Polica and the Shouting Matches will conflict. She's good friends with both Vernon and Moen (and has performed with both, I think). Plus, that conflict would greatly offend the Minnesota/Wisconsin coalition of Coachella attendees, which I'm sure GV desperately wants to avoid.
Also - I wonder if we might actually see HTDA on the Outdoor instead of Mojave. I assumed they were the Mojave closer from the moment I saw the poster, but the more I think about it, that show is going to be a really big deal, and Reznor is by far the most famous person performing on Friday, and they're billed right where Explosions in the Sky were last year- who played the Outdoor against a headliner.
THE BEE BUZZES STUPIDLY.
