Random but I really don't think C2C is getting that long of a set time. I think it makes more sense to put Beardyman in the Yuma at whatever time he's at for a longer set and then put C2C in Beardyman's place.

it's all garbage....no one knows shit, just people looking for attention
no different than when people are waiting for the lineup every year....fake posters....no one knows the lineups.

Shit no one had Phoenix, Blur Stone Roses or RHCP on anything.

Coachella is damn careful to make sure that no one knows nothing until they want.
Just when I think you couldn't possibly be any dumber, you go and do something like this…and totally redeem yourself!

pretty sure everyone speculated phoenix stone roses and blur. No one speculated RHCP cause we figured they were washed up

Blur was a pretty safe guess. Coachella has been kind to Damon Albarn over the years (Blur at a previous year; closing the outdoor theater with The Good, The Bad, and the Queen; headlining spot for Gorillaz), and it's always been good at grabbing Britpop (Pulp last year, and Suede the year before). The only fuzzy thing about it was if Blur planned on doing anything at the time of the festival, but even before the line-up, they mentioned showing up to countries overlooked by the reunion.

The Stone Roses were also a good bet in that they were active again, and if anyone was going to get them, it was Coachella.

I was surprised (pleasantly) to see them chosen as headliners, though.

Everyone had Blur and Stone Roses on their list (I did for sure) just not as headliners.

I'll take the longer Blur and Stone Roses sets over a different headliner that none of us would probably like nearly as much...

Even though Blur and The Stone Roses are smaller headliners I am not convinced at all they were cheap headliners. Coachella is the only American gig for either band.

Damn....TNGHT was pretty high on my priority list but Im sure that set will conflict with either Modest Mouse or YYYs, which are two much bigger priorities.

getbetter and TallChris ran into Paul Tollett before the Replacements (?) show a few weeks ago and apparently he was thrilled about The Stone Roses & Blur, and then went on to talk about how stuff like Jay-Z is what the masses want. So I mean, it's not as if Paul was like "Ugh, I'm stuck with booking these two bands, woe is my lineup."

8/30: Peaking Lights @ The Chapel
9/3: Bear in Heaven @ The Independent
9/11: Tomas Barfod @ The Rickshaw Stop
    9/12: Shifted @ Mercer
    9/24 - 28: Decibel Festival
    10/3-5: Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival
    10/4: Ought @ BoH
10/5: The War on Drugs, Cass McCombs @ The Fillmore
    10/18-19: Treasure Island Music Festival

Are we convinced that Yuma will run all day and night? Might close before or open after the other stages, and set times will be more normal.

Exclusivity only matters if there were other options in America likely to offer a lot of money. No other major festival would give them a big payday and putting on their own tour would yield small crowds at amphitheaters.

If Coachella gave them a bunch of money its because Paul was idiotic and bidding against himself, because they're not in demand in the states.

Thank god the "insiders" here are inside Paul's head. What would we do without them? What does he think about American Idol and Honey Boo Boo?

Ummmm, with the amount of dj's that are lower billed, its probably an all day thing.
